Cube & Create - April Edition

Today's second post is for the Cube & Create Insta Hop.  This hop is where a group of use create cards with inspiration from Sarah Renee Clarks Color Cubes. Each moth cards are randomly pulled and we chose one or both of them as our inspiration.

My card was inspired by the colors on the card No. 745 from the new cubes. I needed a masculine birthday card and these colors were right on target.  The colors I used are Capri, Evergreen and Midnight from Concord & 9th, Blue Raspberry from Gina K designs and Summer Sunrise from Papertrey Ink. 

To create this card, I started with a white top folding card base and a white panel. I cut strips in different sizes from the colors and added them to the white panel. Next I cut out balloons with a die from The Stamp Market and stamped and embossed the greetings also from a set by The Stamp Market directly on the balloons. 

July Postage Party

This one is for yet another hop on Instagram.  It's the Postage Party hop where a group of crafty friends create a project using postage dies/stamps ect.. Each month has a theme and this month is to use sprays/paste. 

I used a gold spray on this card which is kinda hard to see in the photos. 

The products I used are from Gina K Designs and Papertrey Ink.

I started with a white top folding A2 card base and a white panel. I used postage die from the Master Layouts 14, the Post Cards and More stamp set and the Create Friendship stencil all by Gina K Designs. The inks I used also from Gina K Designs are light Lilac, Medium Lilac, Dark Lilac, Honey Mustard, Butterscotch and fresh Asparagus.

The light blue that I used on the blocks is Powder by Concord and 9th, a new favorite of mine. 

The greeting is from the Say It Essentials set by Papertrey Ink.

To create my card I started with a top folding white card base and a white panel cut down with a stitched die. I used a stamp set by Papertrey Ink, Beautiful Berries Winter which is  layering set so of course my BFF MISTI came to my rescue. 

I used Gina K inks in Faded Brick, Cherry Red and Fresh Asparagus.

It's tie for another challenge at AAA Cards and our sponsor this tie is STAMPlorations.

My card is super simple because there is no stamping involved.

I started with a white top folding card base, a panel of Berry Burst and a white panel cut down with a stitched die. Using the Heart Breeze die by Simon Says Stamp I cut the hearts out of the white panel and attached it to the Berry Burst panel and then attached it to the card base. To finish the card I added the love greeting using a word die by Papertrey Ink

A birthday Celebration!

Here's my Birthday card 

To make my card used two panels of watercolor paper. the first one I used the new Gansai Tambi Starry palette, and cut out the balloons using the Papertrey Ink Best Birthday die. On the second panel I made a wash background using Mission Gold watercolors, attached the balloons and added the greeting. I finished the card by adding sequins from Pretty Pink Posh to the panel and attaching it to a white card base. 

Now for my question

Birthdays=gifts

What is the best birthday gift (stamping related) that you have ever received. For me there is only one answer and it's definitely my MISTI. I don't know how I ever stamped without it, I use it on almost every card I make. Can't wait to hear your stories.

CAS Mix Up

Happy Wednesday!

Today's card share is another from Papertrey Ink using the Peonies on Parade watercolor sheets. This are so fun to color using the Zig clean color watercolor markers. I added a greeting using the 2016 Anniversary set, Painted Petals and of course I used my Misti stamping tool to get the birthday wishes in place.

I stamped the word "sending in Versamark ink and then embossed it in the new copper embossing powder from Stampin Up.

My card share today is for the challenge over at CASology of Sprinkles. 

To make my card I started with a watercolor panel from Papertrey Ink and used Zig Clean Color watercolor markers to color the image, next I stamped the sentiment "sending" from the 2016 Anniversary set in versa mark ink and embossed it with Gilded embossing powder from Brutus Monroe. I used the MISTI to add the birthday wishes stamped in versa fine Onxy Black. For the "sprinkle" of gold I used some gold Heidi Swap Color Shine over the front of my card. To finish it off I added some gold glitter tape from Stampin Up around the edges of the base.

To make my card I started with a pre printed watercolor panel  (Peonies on Parade) from Papertrey Ink and used Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors to color the peonies and  background. I added a glitter tape strip to the side to give it a little bling. the greeting is from the Birthday Blooms set from Stampin Up.

7 Days of Mother's Day Inspiration ~ Day 5

Welcome to Day 5 of my 7 days of Mother's day Inspiration. Excuse the bad photograph, but this card has been mailed and I can't retake it. For this card I used the Beautiful Blooms set from Papertrey Ink. the greeting is a from a Verve set and the sequins are from Pretty, Pink, Posh.

Side By Side

I made this one for another one of the Hope You Can Cling To challenges at Splitcoast Stampers, The challenge is "Side by Side" to have two elements on your card beside each other and to use both pink and purple.  I also used a technique I learn in my OCC copic class, I had no idea you could use copic refills to color your embossing paste and that is what I did on my card I used some E43.

Little Angel

Made this one for a friend having a little girl and also for the Rock-A-Bye Baby challenge at CAS on Sunday.

I started out with a white card base and a stencil and sponged Pink Pirouette over it. I decided I wanted to make a shaker card and this sweet die from Papertrey Ink was a perfect  choice.

Stamp -A- Faire 2014: Antique Embossing

This one is for Melissa's challenge of Antique Embossing

This was another technique that I had never tried but is easy. To get this antique look all you do is emboss your die cut with gold embossing powder and then distress it with distress inks. I used walnut   to distress mine. I also embossed a side panel and left it so you can see the difference between the two

As much as I would love to do all these challenges I am headed to bed with only completing four but four is better than none.

Stamp-A-Faire 2014: Mock Mosaics

               

This one is for Lizzie's second challenge of Mock Mosaics. I colored my background stamp with Memento markers and then spritzed it with water, after stamping it on my panel I took a stencil and covered then image and painted a thin layer of gesso over it. To define the tiles more I went around the edge of each with the fine tip of the marker

Stamp-A-Faire 2014: Ancient Rome

Another one for Papertrey Ink's Stamp-A-Faire 2014

This one is for Lizzie's challenge Faux Fresco. I have never done a technique anything like this before and I have to admit it was kinda intimidating because it looked so complicated but it wasn't at all and was fun. You start by covering your card stock with a thin layer of embossing paste and after it dries stamping your image on top of it, next you watercolor your image and when you get done it looks like a painted piece of plaster.
