988 Day

Today is a day that has become near to my heart. It's 988 day, what is that you may ask? 988 is the number you can call if you are depressed or having suicidal thoughts.  Help is only 3 numbers away.
The reason this because so dear and near to my heart is because back in 2019 I lost one of my older brothers to suicide. I would have never thought that the word suicide would become a reality. We had no clue that he would take his own life. It still hurts and always will that he felt that he could not talk to us or anyone.
Please please if you ever have those feelings make that call to 988 and get help. You matter and the world needs exactly who you are.

This week is Suicide prevention week and a group of crafty friends are hosting a hop over on Instagram to help raise awareness.

Here are the deets of my card, I started with a white top folding A2 card base and a white panel.  I used the Long Lines Leaves stamps set by Kristina Warner and the sentiment is fro Impression Obsession which is no longer in business but this stamp is a classic in my stash.

Rainbow!

Today starts a new challenge at Addicted to CAS.  I am the hostess this fortnight and I chose the code word.. Rainbow.
The rainbow reminds us that God keeps his promises and His mercies are new every morning.

To make this card, I started with a white top folding A2 card base, a white panel and some scraps of colored cardstock.
I ran the panel of white cardstock through the die cutting machine using the Cloudy Double Card Front die and added a sentiment at the bottom.
I used the rainbow from the Sending Smiles dies and cut it out of several colors of scraps and then pieced it together and added it to the panel.

July Postage Party

This one is for yet another hop on Instagram.  It's the Postage Party hop where a group of crafty friends create a project using postage dies/stamps ect.. Each month has a theme and this month is to use sprays/paste.
I used a gold spray on this card which is kinda hard to see in the photos.
The products I used are from Gina K Designs and Papertrey Ink.
I started with a white top folding A2 card base and a white panel. I used postage die from the Master Layouts 14, the Post Cards and More stamp set and the Create Friendship stencil all by Gina K Designs. The inks I used also from Gina K Designs are light Lilac, Medium Lilac, Dark Lilac, Honey Mustard, Butterscotch and fresh Asparagus.
The light blue that I used on the blocks is Powder by Concord and 9th, a new favorite of mine.
The greeting is from the Say It Essentials set by Papertrey Ink.

Rediscover Your Supplies June Edition

Today I am participating in the Rediscover Your Supplies hop over on Instagram.  I think as crafters we all have supplies that we forget about. The purpose of this hop is to look through your supplies and find something that you haven't used because you forgot about it. This card was made using some supplies from a virtual event I attended back a couple years ago. the theme of this month is Masculine so i made a masculine birthday card.
To make this card, I started with a white top folding card base and a white panel. I used the Seaside Post stamp, stencil and dies which are actually available in the C9 shop now.

Thank You C9

Today starts a new challenge at Addicted to CAS. Sue is our hostess and she chose the code word Thank You

Last weekend I attended Summer Camp with Concord & 9th. I have attended the summer camp event every year since it started and Concord & 9th does not disappoint. This card is based on a card that Laura Bassen created using the Garden of Gratitude products. Unfortunately these products are exclusive to camp but they have plenty of other great products. You should check them out.
To make this card, I started with a white top folding card base and a powder panel. I stamped the "thank you" in Peacock ink and then die cut the leaves out of Eucalyptus, Juniper and Rainforest. The buds were cut out of Nectar cardstock, and the tiny flowers are cut out of Ballet Slipper. The flowers were cut out of White and I ink blended them with Briar Rose and Plumberry, Sunflower and Sorbet and left a couple of them white and used Sunflower for the centers.

AAA Cards 293 - Anything Goes

Today starts a new challenge at AAA Cards.   It's an Anything Goes challenge as long as you keep it clean and simple. The optional twist is to have a sentiment focus.

To make this card, I started with a white top folding A2 caes base. I used a balloon stencil from Concord & 9th and some masking paper to create the design on the side and then added the Happy Birthday To You sentiment die (also from Concord & 9th) stacked a few times for dimension over the balloon design. This makes for a quick and easy card.

MSP Team Tuesday

I am up on the My Sweet Petunia blog sharing this card today.
To make this card, I started with a white top folding A2 crd base, a Pebble panel and a white panel. Starting with the white panel, I laid it on a Sticky Mat inside the Original MISTI  then stamped the floral image. I used stencils to color it, thus the reason I need a Sticky Mat. The colors I used for the flower are Wildberry, Plumberry and Fig. I love this color combo for a floral. For the leaves I used Avocado and Pistachio.  Next I cut out the image using coordinating dies and used some dies from Pinkfresh Studio to create the frame.
I ran the Pebble panel through the die cutting machine using the Basket Weave card front plate. To finish the card I stamped the sentiment, cut it out with the coordinating die and added it to the front.

Nature's Canvas

Today's card is uses the perforated paper from Taylored Expressions. I have been wanting to give this paper a try and use the Nature's canvas kit that I got back in March and haven't gotten a chance to use it yet.

I started with a white top folding card base, a panel of Pebble (C9) cardstock and a panel of the Perforated paper. This paper is made to look like cross stitch cloth and it certainly does. I created a faux cross stitch panel but I tell ya this paper is super thick and if you wanted, you could actually use floss.
If you decide to do a faux stitching, you will need a Misti to stamp on it.
I stamped the floral image and used the coordinating stencils to color it.
I had originally stamped the greeting directly on the paper but didn't care for that look so I restamped it on regular cardstock and placed it over the one I stamped.

CASEing Kristina

Today's card is for another Instashop, it's called Case-It and its one where we CASE (copy and share everything) another crafter. I choose to CASE Kristina Werner using her set Long Lines Leaves.  I fell in love with this set the moment I saw it.
To make my card, I started with a white top folding A2 card base and a white panel. I randomly stamped the leaves using Pimento, Juniper, Grapefruit, Grasshopper and Tidepool inks by Concord & 9th.
I added the gold splatter by using VersaMark ink and gold embossing powder. The greeting is cut out of gold foil paper and added to the backer which I cut out several times for dimension.
