Going Postal

Today's card is for the CAS challenge over at Splitcoaststampers.
To create this card I started with a precut mini slim card base and a white panel. I stamped the envelopes with embossing in and embossed it with white powder. Next I ink blended rainbow colors and added a scalloped border. I stamped the deer, colored him with Copic markers and then cut him out with the coordinating die.
To finish the card I added a sentiment from the same set, embossed in white and fussy cut out.

SC731

It's sketch time again at Splitcoaststampers. Each week there is a new sketch challenge but you know what? there is no deadline! you can go all the way back to the beginning and play along. Here is the current sketch.

To create my card I started with a white top folding card base, I blended a little background of ink using Festive Berries and Worn Lipstick on the base. I used a heart die cut by Memory Box on a white panel cut down a quarter of an inch smaller than the base and placed it over the blended background. For the both o the panel I placed purple tape down and blended the ink is diagonals. To finish the card I added a sentiment by Pretty Pink Posh.

CAS-ual Fridays Meets Freshly Made Sketches

My weekend has been super busy and I am just now getting a chance to sit down and make a card for a friend who is having surgery in the next couple weeks.
To make my card I started with a white top folding A2 card base, some patterned paper a white panel and this cute floral set from CAS-ual Fridays. I cut the piece of patterned the same size as the card base and adhered it to the base, next I took the white panel also cut to the size of the base and used a border die from Pretty Pink Posh to create the stitched border. I stamped the flowers from the Pretty Posies set in archival ink on watercolor paper and watercolored them with Zig markers, I used the Posies Fri-dies to cut them out. to finish the card I added a little splatter and then popped up the posies on top of it. For the greeting I used the MISTI to make it curve along the curved border.

It's a Beautiful Day

To be You!
Love this Beautiful Words set from Concord & 9th, along with many of their other products. Greg and Angie are super sweet and such a joy, have you watched the crafty chat over at Online Card Classes with them? they are so fun!

Now for the deets on my card. This for a friend for her birthday and she loves Coastal Cabana, so do I, it was a sad day when Stampin Up retired Coastal Cabana, who is with me here.
To make my I started with a Coastal Cabana card base and a white panel cut using a stitched die from MFT Stamps. I used Peerless watercolors to make the background behind the butterfly from the Floral & Flutter die set, and to paint a strip to cut out the word Beautiful from the Beautiful You dies.  To line up my stamping on each side of the die cut word beautiful, I used my MISTI of course, how did I ever do cards like this without it?
To finish off the card I used some sequins from Pretty, Pink, Posh.

Because the world needs some kindness

Happy Thursday!
Our world has so much hate in it today, we need a little more kindness. This card is for a grandmother I have never met, who is having to go into a nursing home and she just needs pick me up. She told my friend, after seeing that she had mailed out cards, I didn't think people did that anymore, so we are going to bombard her with some handmade kindness.
To make my card I started with a white A2 card base and a panel cut with the Silly Stitched die from Lil' Inkers, I stamped my floral image from the April my Monthly Hero kit from Hero Arts on a scrap piece of yardstick and colored it with Copic Markers RV55, RV63 and RV66 for the flower and YG03, YG41, YG45 and BG75 on the leaves. I added some sequins from Pretty Pink Posh and silver thread to embellish but still be mailable.

Heart of Gold

Happy Sunday!
Today starts new game at AAA Cards and it's CAS Shaker.

I love making shaker cards the easy way using the fuse tool, but since my move I really have no clue where it is at the moment so I used a cellophane envelope and some score tape for this one.
I started with a cut stitched panel using the Silly Stitched mats from Lil Inker Designs, and then watercolored a very light wash on panel. I cut out the heart using the Heart of Gold die and then cut it out of gold foil as well. I placed the gold foil heart back in the negative space. and placed the packet of sequins from Pretty, Pink, Posh behind it. For the sentiment I used the Heart of Gold stamp.

I heart You

Happy Wednesday!

It features some new goodies I have gotten since my move, when you can't find your supplies you have to buy more right? Craft Haul

Last weekend was the Scrapbook Expo in Denver and  I came home with a nice craft haul. Heartfelt creations had a huge booth there so I grabbed up this new release to make some fall cards.  I also fell in love with Sparkle N Sprinkle glitters. Some of their glitters, like the one I used on my sunflowers are transparent, it gives your image a nice sparkle and you can still see the image through the glitter. You can also you their glitter on photographs!
