Snowflake

We are back for the new year at Addicted to CAS and our first code word is snowflake. I love all things snow but I am done with snow for the year even though I know there will be more because winter just started.

To create this card was really simple, I started with a white top folding card base and a white panel cut dow a quarter of an inch smaller. I used a snowflake stencil by A colorful Life designs,  some Gina K ink and the Life Changing blender brushes by Picket Fence Stamps and there you have it, to finish the card I added a greeting by Pink & Main from their Flurries set

25 Days of Christas Inspiration- Day 15

Welcome to day 15 of my series 25 Days of Christmas Inspiration. As you may have noticed, I kinda took a few days off. Not by choice we had a horrible winter storm here and I didn't have any service before, during and after until today.

Today's card is for the last challenge of the year at AAA Cards, which is three. it can be three of anything you wish. I chose snowflakes but let me tell ya, there were way more than three fall in my little mountain town. We lost power for two days and had no service for four. I was about to go stir crazy.

To create my card I started with a white top folding white card base and a white panel cut down a quart of an inch smaller. the stamp set I used is a gorgeous set by Pink & Main, Flurries.  I stamped out three of them using Gina K ink and added some Nuvo crystal drop to finish the card.

25 Days of Christmas Inspiration Day 12 with The Ton

Welcome to Day 12 of my Christmas series 25 days of Christmas Inspiration. Todays card used a Gorgeous stamp by The Ton, Blizzard Hugs.

My card is also for the Christmas Challenge at Happy Little Stampers, the challenge is always anything goes but then we add a twist and this months twist is snow.

To create my card I started with a white top folding card base and a white panel cut down a quarter of an inch smaller. Using both the Original MISTI and the Mini MISTI I placed the snowflakes that are inked with Blueprint Sketch in the Original Misti and then the smaller snow snowflakes and the sentiment which are embossed with silver power in the Mini Misti.  This allowed me to do multiples because this is my Christmas card for this year. For the silver mat, I used a metallic marker to go around the edge of the card base. To finish the card I adhered the panel to the base and added three extra tiny rhinestones.

25 Days of Christmas Inspiration Day 7 with Concord & 9th

Welcome to day 7 of my series 25 Days of Christmas Inspiration. Today's card uses one of my favorite companies Concord & 9th. I love this company and the two who own it as well. they are such sweet friends.

To create this card I started with a Smoky Slate card base and a white panel cut down a quarter of an inch smaller than the base. I stamped the snowflakes from the Snow Flurry Stamp set with Versafine ink and embossed them with white powder. next I used some distress oxide inks in Squeezed Lemonade, Picked Raspberry and Peacock Feathers to create my northern lights background. After I got the colors all blended together, I spritzed it with water and then added the greeting and also embossed it with white powder.

Picket Fence Studios October Release

It's release day at Picket Fence Studios and once again they did not disappoint, the October release has more adorable stamps. The one I used on my card is Have a Wonderful Wintry Day and it is Adorbs!
I love the snowman and the one in this set along with the others are so cute!

To make my card I started with a top folding white card base and a panel cut down a quarter of an inch smaller. First I stamped the snowman and then masked him off while I created the background and stamped the snow.  I stamped the snow using Versamark ink and embossed it with White embossing powder and then to create the background I used the medium 3.5 inch blending stencil and a medium Life Changing Blender Brush along with Gina K ink. I wanted to give the appearance of a snow globe so I added lots of snow using a white Gelly Roll pen.
To finish the card I added the greeting below the snow and adhered the panek to the card base.

Our Christmas challenge is always anything goes but we would love to see sequins on your project for the month of August

To create my card I started with a white top folding card base and a white panel cut down with a stitched die. I used the Let it Snow set by Happy Little Stampers and stamped the snowflakes using Gina K inks in some bright colors. To comply with the challenge I added sequins to the center of three of the snowflakes.

It's a Wrap!

Well 2017 is coming to and end, I am sharing one last card for my guest designing gig with a.muse studio, I have really enjoyed guest designing with them.
I chose Flaky Friends to share for several reasons, one being I love all things snowmen, 2nd I will be hanging out with my friends tonight to celebrate the new year and thirdly winter is here, not that I am partying over winter being here but it's definitely roaring as all week it is single digit temps with a below zero wind chill. I say that calls for staying home in front of the fireplace with a cup of hot chocolate.
This card was simple to make I simple masked off the middle snowman and stamped the others and colored them with Copic markers.

Tomorrow I will have several posts including some news and a giveaway so be sure to stop back by, I will leave you with some of my favorite cards from 2017
