Carried Away

It's time for a new game at AAA Cards. This challenge we want you to use one corner of your card and then if you wish to play along with the optional twist, use some masking.  To create my card I use a set by our sponsor, CASual Fridays Stamps.  I started with a white top folding card base and a white panel. I stamped the bunny from the Somebunny set, colored it using Copic markers and then masked it off to add the clouds around him.

Welcome to day 10 of my series 14 days of Valentines inspiration.

It's also time for a new challenge at Addicted to Stamps & More so my card doubles for our challenge as well.  

To create my this card I started with a white to folding card base and a gray panel cut down A2 size. The background was created using a Gel Press while at Creativation. I love to Gel Press it's so fun and so forgiving, if you don't like your background you just add setting on top. 

The stamp set I used is Puffy Heart Love by CAS-ual Fridays Stamps, I stamped it with Versamark ink and embossed it in white and then used a Copic Multiliner to trace around it to make it stand out more against the background. 

Shades of Gold and 25 Days of Christmas Inspiration

Happy Black Friday!

I hope all my friends in the U.S. had a blessed Thanksgiving. It is time to go full speed ahead to get ready for Christmas because it will be here before we know it. 

Today starts my 25 days of Christmas Inspiration, I will be sharing cards, my trees and my holiday decorations with you over the next 25 days. 

Today's card is also for our challenge at CAS-ual Fridays, shades of gold. I love using gold on a card. To create my card I used the Joy set along with some Antique Gold embossing powder by Sparkle & Sprinkle. I started with a white top folding card base and a white panel cut down with a postage stamp die. I stamped the noel from the Joy set in Versamark ink and embossed it in Antique Gold. To finish the card I added some sequins in a different color of gold.

It's time for our November encouragement challenge at Calling All Sistahs. 

How our challenge works is that we give you an inspiration photo and you are to make a project using it as your inspiration It doesn't have to be a card for someone who has cancer, it can be for someone who has lost a loved one or just needs a pick me up. All we ask is that you actually mail it.

This is the last post for the Encouragement Squad, as Michele has decided to end the challenges because of lack of participation. I hope y'all will continue to send out encouraging cards to those who need it. I had a facebook group on facebook that does just that. The name of the group is Because Kindness and I would love to have you join us in sending cards to lift the spirits of the who need it.

To create my card I started with a top folding note card and the Tutu stamp set, I stamped the dancers in gray and then colored there tutus with Copic markers and then diet them with the Ballerina Fri-dies. I added some Nuvo drops to the center ones tutu.

November Reminder

This post is sorta a sad post because Michele has decided to close the Calling All Sistahs challenge blog because of lack of participation. But not so sad because  plan to still do a reminder to check yourself. I lost my Mom to breast cancer when I was 21 so it is a big deal to me. It may not always be on the 17th of the month but I ill try my best to remind you every month to do a self check.

To make my card I started with a white top folding card base and a white piece of scrap cardstock. I stamped the Word Ribbon on it and embossed it in rose gold and cut it out using the Ruffled Ribbon Fri-die.  Next using the Big Hope Fri-Die, I cut out the word hope with foil paper. To finish the card I used the greeting from the Hope Ribbon Set.

It's time for another challenge at CAS-ual Fridays, this week we have a fun sketch for you. Come play along.

To create my card I used the Bold wishes set, I used some Gina K inks in colors that could also be masculine.

Fall Inspiration

It's time for a new challenge at CAS-ual Fridays and this one is an inspiration Photo. 

Fall is finally here but boy did it come quick, seems like the leaves turned in a few days instead of weeks. 

To create my card I started with a top folding white card base and a pice of faux wood patterned paper. I stamped the wreath from the Wheat Wreath set a couple times using two different inks to achieve the color I wanted. Next I stamped the greeting in Versamark ink on the patterned paper and heat embossed it in white. I fussy cut out the wreath and popped it up around the greeting.

All we ask is that you actually mail it. Ya'll I have had to mail so many sympathy cards lately it just breaks my heart, yesterday I mailed out 10 sympathy cards and two card to cancer patients.  I hope they do bring a little happiness in their sorrow. I have a facebook group (Because Kindness) if you would like to join to help share some kindness with those who need it.

This month we actually have a sketch challenge

To create my card I started with a top folding white card base, I added some design paper as the background and also to make one of the tags using the Tag Buddies Fri- Die. I used the Dream Then Do stamp set for the greeting on the smaller ta. To finish the card I added some twine.

October Reminder

Today is the 17th and that means it is time for your monthly reminder to check yourself and get your Mammogram if you haven't yet this year.

 Mammograms are good but they are not enough, if cancer is caught your odds of beating it are better and they way to do that is to check your girls. Our challenge is a reminder for you to do so. 

You can also help find a cure by purchasing products from the Calling All Sistahs line where 50% of the profits go towards breast cancer research.

To create my card I started with a top folding white card base, the Ruffled Ribbon Fri-die and a couple sets by CAS-ual Fridays Stamps. Using the Fri-die I cut out several ribbons out of white cardstock, on one of them I randomly stamped the floral image and leaves from the Peace & Comfort set. 

Next I glued several of them together and placed the stamped one on top to give it dimension. To finish the card I added the ribbon and stamped a greeting from the Dream then Do set.

Pink & Gray or Grey??

It's time for a new challenge at CAS-ual Fridays, won't you play along. I love this color combo especially for a little baby girls nursery. 

There are prizes involved 

For my card I used the Serendipi-tea stamp set. I started with a white top folding card base and a rose stencil. I created the background using distress oxide inks. I stamped the tea pot from the Serendipi-tea set and colored it using Copic markers. Added a greeting underneath and I have a CAS card in less than 10 mins.
