25 Days of Christmas Inspiration - Day 4

Welcome to Day 4 of my Holiday series, today's card also doubles as a challenge card for the Addicted to CAS challenge. This happens to be our last challenge of the year so I decided to create a Christmas card. Our challenge is hosted by Nancy and she chose the code word Colorful.

To create my card I started with a top folding white card base, a white panel and a white panel for the stencil.
I used the Kaleidoscope layering stencil by Right at home to create a colorful background to show through the tree diecut. Next I used the Tree Confetti cut and cut out the tree in the center of the white panel.  I placed the kaleidoscope panel on the card base and adhered it down. I added some foam tape to the white panel with the cutout so it would give it some dimension.
To finish the card  I cut the Peace Confetti Cut out of white for the backer and holographic for the word and added it to the front of the card using foam tape.

Trees

It's time for our September Christmas challenge at Happy Little Stampers
it is always anything goes and the twist this month is to use a tree on your project

To create this card I used a retired layering set by Stampin Up and a greeting by  Right at Home. I started with a white top folding card base and a white panel cut down with a stitched die. Using the MISTI because of layering I stamped the  tree and blended a background for it using Gina K inks.

Cozy Cardinal

I have some more crafty news t share, I am also joining the Christmas challenge over at Happy Little Stampers, its also only once a month so plenty of time to play

To make this card I started with a white top folding card base and a white panel cut down with a stitched die.  Using my Mini MISTI, I stamped the cardinal from the Cozy Cardinal set by Right at Home with Gina K ink. This is a layering stamp so the Misti is a must have with me. After I got the cardinal all stamped I used the coordinating dies to cut it out. I stamped the branch directly on the panel also using Gina K ink and then added some snow using a Sakura Pen touch white paint pen. To finish the card, before adding the greeting and cardinal to the branch I sponged a little Broken China distress ink for a background.

It's a Wrap!

Well 2017 is coming to and end, I am sharing one last card for my guest designing gig with a.muse studio, I have really enjoyed guest designing with them.
I chose Flaky Friends to share for several reasons, one being I love all things snowmen, 2nd I will be hanging out with my friends tonight to celebrate the new year and thirdly winter is here, not that I am partying over winter being here but it's definitely roaring as all week it is single digit temps with a below zero wind chill. I say that calls for staying home in front of the fireplace with a cup of hot chocolate.
This card was simple to make I simple masked off the middle snowman and stamped the others and colored them with Copic markers.

Tomorrow I will have several posts including some news and a giveaway so be sure to stop back by, I will leave you with some of my favorite cards from 2017

Now for my projects

My first card I used a piece of watercolor paper and the Mini MISTI to stamp a bunch of floral images because I really didn't know what I wanted to do. We were heading out for our anniversary trip and I had to get a card made before I left because we would not return until after the hop.
I used the Anemone set and stamped the floral images using Versafine ink, because I knew I wanted to watercolor them. Anytime I stamp on watercolor paper I always use my MISTI to make sure I get a crisp image because of the texture. After stamping several images I colored them using Zig clean color pens and then cut them out using the coordinating die. For the background I used Distress Oxide inks in Worn Lipstick, Fossilized Amber and Spiced Marmalade.

Since I had so many floral images I decided to make a second card in the same color scheme. I brought the supplies with me in case I had some free time on our trip which I did, while the hubs was watching football I made this second card. I used Distress Oxide inks for the background on this one as well, I just splattered it on and made a couple brush strokes in the center.

That's all for me your next stop is Jill Hawkins and I promise she will have something beautiful to share.
Here is the full list in case you get lost, don't forget to leave comments on everyone's blog to be eligible to win
