Gone Fishing

Gone fishing with the birthday card for the hubs whose birthday is next month and he loves to fish. This set by Dare 2B Artzy makes the perfect birthday card for him.
To make this card, I started with a white top folding card base and a white panel cut to the same size. I stamped the images, colored them using OLO markers and then cut them out using the coordinating dies.  I used a stencil mask to create the land/water for the background.
I finished the card by stamping the sentiment and adding a few highlights with a white gel pen.

Addicted to Stamps and More - Make Your Mark 486

Today starts a new challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More. It's time for you to make your mark. What we mean by that is add color by any meduim you choose. I used OLO markers for mine.

Even though the last couple days felt like spring, winter is still here in full swing this week so I thought that I would make a winter birthday card for my friend whose birthday is next week.
The set I used is a retired set from My Favorite Things.

AAA 276 - A Sketch

Today starts a new challenge at AAA Cards and it's a sketch. I love using sketches and I find myself using them over and over.

To make this card, I used a stencil for the background and the Leaf Patter stamp set and cover pate by Hero Arts. The stencil is from MFT.
I will come back and update with links when I get internet back.

AAA Cards 274 - A Sketch

Today starts a new challenge at AAA Cards and its a sketch. I love sketches and seeing how they are interpreted differently.

This card goes out to a friend who lost her pup after 17years with him.
To make this card, I started with a white top folding A2 card base and a white panel cut a quarter of an inch smaller.
First I created a rainbow background by ink blending ROY G BIV. Next I cut the paw out of craft cardstock and glued it over the background.
Super easy pet sympathy card.

Like Gnome Other

Today's card is my submission to episode 204 of Craft Roulette. If you have never played along with Craft Roulette and have no clue what it is.
Craft Roulette is an improv card making challenge where a wheel is spun and you have four parameters, Project, Colors, Element, and random to use within your design.
Oh and it's on every Friday night and you have until Sunday midnight CST to submit your card, unless you are a patreon and then you have until Thursday midnight CST.  I have become a Patreon because I am addicted to this challenge and sometimes life happens and I don't have time to get my card done before the deadline on Sunday.

This weeks parameters are:
Project: Thinking of you- This could be any card because when you send a card you are definitely thinking of them.
Colors: Fairy Tale - I used teal, purple, and pink which to me are fairy tale colors.
Element: Hear(s) or Ear(s) - I used ears with the bunny ears on the gnomes, I guess gnomes have eas also.
Random: Stamped background - I used a retired background by My Favorite Things

To make this card, I started with a white top folding A2 card base and a white panel.  I used distress inks to create an ink blended background and then added the stamped image over it.
I stamped the gnomes on a seperate piece of white cardstock, colored them using OLO markers and cut them out with the coordinating dies.
To finish the card, I added a sentiment across the bottom and popped up the gnomes over it.

Celebrate The New Year

Happy New Year everybody!

Today's card is for a cardmaker Insta hop over on Instagram.
A group of cardmakers participate in this hop monthly to rediscover our supplies.
If you are a cardmaker then I am sure you have supplies that you have neglected. The purpose of this hop is for us to go through our supplies and make a card using the monthly theme and find something that needs a little love and inked up either for the first time or it's been a while.
This hop is open to anyone who wishes to participate. The details on how to join are on my post.
To make this card, I started with a white top folding A2 card base and a white panel. I stamped the fireworks bold print from Hero Arts using embossing ink and then embossed it in gold powder. I did some ink blending over that with Blue Raspberry reactive ink.
To finish the card, I added a gold foil mat and a celebrate by My Favorite Things.

Bokeh

I am up on the CutCardStock blog today sharing this card.

To make this card I started with one of the Neenah precut and scored bases and a precut panel. On the panel I created a bokeh background using several stencils. Next on another panel I stamped, colored and fussy cut the daisies from an Altenew set. Gerbera daisies are one of my favorite flowers, they bloom in so many bright colors.

For the greeting I used the Epic Black Neenah 130lb and Gold foil cardstock.

Addicted to CAS #238 - Freedom

It's time for a new challenge at Addicted to CAS and I am the hostess this go round. I choose Freedom as the code word because this time of year you can make cards for several different occasions using the code word of freedom.
It could be a graduation card, a memorial day card honoring those who lost their lives for our freedom, it could be a veterans day card honoring those who are fighting for our freedom now, an independence day card or even a birthday card of a teen who now has freedom because they have turned a legal age.
So many ways to use this code word, I hope you will play along.

To make this card, I started with a  white top folding A2 card base and a white panel. I ran the white panel through the machine using a 3D folder by Altenew. Next I added some veramark ink over the embossed part and then added some gold embossing glitter. To finish the card I cut the "celebrate" out of gold foil paper and added it to the panel.
This was actually going to be a graduation card, but I am changing rooms and I don't exactly know where my graduation cap die is at the moment.

A Halloween Hello

Happy Friday!

A new challenge is up at Beyond the Blue challenges. We are just a group of friends who follow our fearless leader, Lydia aka UnderstandBlue.
Our new challenge is to make a Halloween project or if you don't do halloween then use the colors Orange, Purple and Green.
I am not a halloween person like spooky halloween but I do like the fun of halloween and this little witch is so adorable.

To make my card I started with a top folding white card base and a Foil-it panel by Taylored Expressions. I foiled the panel with some sparkly orange foil and then ink blended over it with Carved Pumpkin distress ink.
I stamped the cute little witch from the Which way is the candy set by MFT and colored her with OLO markers.  This is an older set but I just love this little witch.
To finish the card I added an embossed greeting and kitty cat.

AAA Cards - Game 225

Today starts a new game at AAA Cards. Game 225 is to use 1 of the 9 rectangles on a card front as in the photo below. The option is to also use gnomes. I do not have any small gnomes that would fit in one of the rectangles so I used this cute lil birdie by My Favorite Things and a tiny sentiment from Simon Says Stamp.

To make this card I started with a white top folding card base, a white panel cut the same size as the base and a white piece of cardstock for the image. I stamped the birdie directly on the white panel and colored him using OLO markers. Next I stamped the bird again, colored him and then used the coordinating die to cut him out. I popped him up over the other one I had colored using foam dots to give him some dimension.
To finish the card I added the tiny sentiment.

Boo To You!

The September challenge at Perfectly CAS is live and it's all about Halloween.

I am not much of a halloween person, at least not the spooky side of it but I do like the cutesy side to it I just have no one to send a card to for halloween so I don't make very many.  I also don't have a lot of halloween supplies.
the die I used is older and retires but I still like it so I kept it around. The sentiment however is from a Gina K Designs set that I have linked below.

To make this card, I started with a white top folding card base and a white pael. I created a background by ink blending Creamsicle and Purple Galaxy on a smaller panel to fit behind the window. I used a glitter marker over the strands of the web to give it sparkle.
