Frosty Hello

Happy Tuesday! 

I am trying to settle back in from the holidays and it's cold y'all!

Today's card is inspired by just that, cold! 

To make this card, I started with a white top folding A2 card base and a white panel.

I Stamped the snowman on the panel, masked him off along with a border for he snow and then ink blended the background and creating some northern lights using some Hero Arts reactive inks along with some distress ink. 

After I created the background, I removed the mask, colored the snowman using OLO markers and added a sentiment. 

To finish the card I covered the bottom portion of the card and spritzed it with water for the snow and then added some white gel pen for interest

Snowflake

We are back for the new year at Addicted to CAS and our first code word is snowflake. I love all things snow but I am done with snow for the year even though I know there will be more because winter just started. 

To create this card was really simple, I started with a white top folding card base and a white panel cut dow a quarter of an inch smaller. I used a snowflake stencil by A colorful Life designs,  some Gina K ink and the Life Changing blender brushes by Picket Fence Stamps and there you have it, to finish the card I added a greeting by Pink & Main from their Flurries set

Day 24 - A Sketch Challenge

It's Day 24 in my series 25 Days of Christmas Inspiration.

 Today's card is brought to you by Picket Fence Studios and Taylored Expressions.  I also made this card for this week's sketch at Splitcoaststampers. 

To create this card, I started with a Blueberry Bushel top folding card base and a white panel cut down a quarter of an inch smaller. I created a background on the panel using the Nordic Snowflake stencil by Taylored Expressions along with the Life Changing Blender Brushes and my favorite go to glittery stuff, Nuvo glitter paste. I Stamped the gnome image from the A Gnome Winter set by Picket Fence Studios ad colored it using Copic markers.

Day 21 with Freshly Made Sketches

Hello and welcome to day 21 of my series 25 days of Christmas Inspiration. We are getting near the end and we are now in single digits until Christmas day! I don't know about you but I haven't even mailed out my cards yet :0

 

Today's card uses a super cute stamp set by Picket Fence Studios and this weeks sketch at Freshly Made sketches.

To create this card I started with a white top folding card base and a white panel cut down a half of an inch smaller. I used purple tape by Thermoweb to mask off a rectangular area and then blended Peacock Feathers distress ink using LifeChanging Blender Brushes. After I finished blending the ink, I used a snowflake stencil by Echo Park and some Nuvo glitter paste to create the snowy background. I stamped the cute little snowman from the Have a Wonderful Wintery Day by Picket Fence Studios in the corner with Gina K Amalgam ink (I used a mask on him while I created the background) and colored him using Copic markers. Using the Mini MISTI, I added a greeting form the A Bear Kind of Winter set also by Picket Fence Studios underneath to finish the card.

Joy Clair December Challenge

Happy December!  Can you believe it's December already? This year has flown by.  Welcome to Day 9 of my 25 days of Inspiration Series. 

Today's card is not only for my series but also for the December photo inspiration challenge at Joy Clair.

Below is our Photo Inspiration, I mainly went with the colors and the beverage in the picture. 

To create my card I used the Joy Clair set Tea Time so I could also enter it in the  Fall/Winter Coffee (and Tea) Lovers Bloghop. I stamped the tea bag and then masked it off and used a stencil to create the background behind it.  I added the tea cup at the botton and colored it using Copic Markers

Picket Fence Studios October Release

It's release day at Picket Fence Studios and once again they did not disappoint, the October release has more adorable stamps. The one I used on my card is Have a Wonderful Wintry Day and it is Adorbs! 

I love the snowman and the one in this set along with the others are so cute! 

To make my card I started with a top folding white card base and a panel cut down a quarter of an inch smaller. First I stamped the snowman and then masked him off while I created the background and stamped the snow.  I stamped the snow using Versamark ink and embossed it with White embossing powder and then to create the background I used the medium 3.5 inch blending stencil and a medium Life Changing Blender Brush along with Gina K ink. I wanted to give the appearance of a snow globe so I added lots of snow using a white Gelly Roll pen.

To finish the card I added the greeting below the snow and adhered the panek to the card base.

Cozy Cardinal

I have some more crafty news t share, I am also joining the Christmas challenge over at Happy Little Stampers, its also only once a month so plenty of time to play 

To make this card I started with a white top folding card base and a white panel cut down with a stitched die.  Using my Mini MISTI, I stamped the cardinal from the Cozy Cardinal set by Right at Home with Gina K ink. This is a layering stamp so the Misti is a must have with me. After I got the cardinal all stamped I used the coordinating dies to cut it out. I stamped the branch directly on the panel also using Gina K ink and then added some snow using a Sakura Pen touch white paint pen. To finish the card, before adding the greeting and cardinal to the branch I sponged a little Broken China distress ink for a background.

Blowing Snowflake Tree Feature

Happy Thursday! 

Today we are featuring the Blowing Snowflake Tree at So Suzy Stamps.

My card uses the Blowing Snowflake tree and the Leave a Little Sparkle sentiment. To make this card I started with a rustic creme card base cut down with a stitched die, a piece of Arches clod press watercolor paper, the stamps, Zig clean Color pens, and of course my Bff Misti.

Using the MISTI, I stamped the  Blowing Snowflakes Tree with Versafine Black onyx ink several times to achieve a crisp image. Next I used Zig Real Brush pens and randomly scribbles on some color, and then spritzed with water to make them bleed.

Next I stamped the greeting, originally I was going to use Hero Arts sparkle embossing powder for it (that's why it's in the photo of supplies) but I changed my mind and also stamped it in Versafine black onyx ink as well. To finish the card I added some sequins.

Now for the deets on my card, I used the Blowing snowflake Tree along with the greeting A Little sparkle

I started with a Bermuda Bay card base and a white panel. First I used some Hero arts white sparkle embossing powder to emboss the tree. Next I used painters tape to mask off sections of my panel and brayered each color separately moving the tape as I went, to mask off the section I just completed. I had taken a picture of this step but deleted it by accident. You can see in the picture below all my supplies. The distress ink colors I used are Blueprint Sketch, Peacock Feathers and Cracked Pistachio. 

After I got all the colors brayered on for my background, I used the MISTI to stamp the greeting in black so it would contrast against the colors. As I was putting the card together I decided to finish it by adding a panel of white glimmer paper to give it more sparkle.
