Joy Clair December Challenge

Happy December!
Can you believe it's December already? This year has flown by.  Welcome to Day 9 of my 25 days of Inspiration Series.

Today's card is not only for my series but also for the December photo inspiration challenge at Joy Clair.
Below is our Photo Inspiration, I mainly went with the colors and the beverage in the picture.

To create my card I used the Joy Clair set Tea Time so I could also enter it in the  Fall/Winter Coffee (and Tea) Lovers Bloghop. I stamped the tea bag and then masked it off and used a stencil to create the background behind it.  I added the tea cup at the botton and colored it using Copic Markers

To create my card I started with a white top folding card base and a piece of patterned paper. I stamped the coffee cup from the Coffee Lovers set on floral side of the paper and fussy cut it out, I stamped the image again and colored the sleeve and the top with a Copic marker and heat embossed the heart with white embossing powder. I added a paper doily behind the cu and went around the perimeter of the base with the same red marker.

For my card I used the photo of the wooden bridge as my inspiration. To create my card I started with a top folding white note card, a piece of faux wood designer paper and a white panel cut down 1/4 inch smaller than the card base. I stamped the deer from the Deer Friends set and then masked it off and stamped the leaves from the Hello Autumn set. I removed the mask and then colored it with Copic markers. I put the card together by adhering the faux wood designer paper to the card front and then adding the focal panel. To finish the card I added a greeting also from the Hello Autumn set.

Smile

Happy Fri-Yay

It is time for another challenge at CAS-UAL Fridays, it's an easy one so I hope you will join us and play along.

Every time I use the word smile on a card that song from Harry Connick Jr. pops in my head.

Smile, though your heart is aching,

Smile, even though it's breaking,
When there are clouds in the sky,
You'll get by,
If you smile, through your fear and sorrow
Smile, and maybe tomorrow
You'll see the sun come shining through
For you
Light up your face with gladness

Hide every trace of sadness
Although a tear may be ever so near
That's the time you must keep on trying
Smile, what's the use of crying
You'll find that life is still worth while
If you just smile
Though your heart is aching

Smile, even though it's breaking
When there are clouds in the sky
You'll get by,
If you smile through your fear and sorrow
Smile, and maybe tomorrow
You'll find that life is still worth while
If you just smile

On to the challenge

To create my card I started with a top folding white card base, a black panel and a white panel cut down with a stitched die. I used the Daisy Chain stamp along with my MISTI to line it up and stamped it in Versafine Clair Nocturne ink and then to finish the card I added the smile using the Smiling Fri-dies.

Blue Poinsettias

Hello and welcome to day 21 of my 25 days of Christmas Inspiration. Can you believe it's only 4 days until Christmas?? that's insane where ha this year gone??

To make todays card I started with a Night of Navy top folding card base and a white panel cut down with a stitched die by My Favorite Things. This is a layering stamp so of course I used my Mini MISTI. I randomly stamped the poinsettia in Catherine Pooler inks It's a Boy, Daydream and Juniper Mist, and the leaves in Green Team and Eucalyptus.  After I achieved the background I wanted I used the "Merry" die by Concord & 9th. I cut the word merry five times  in Night of Navy and then once in the panel, this allowed me to get a more finished look. This technique is called the Eclipse. To finish the card I stamped the greeting on a white strip and bumped it up on the panel.

I drew inspiration from the colors on The Fusion challenge
