Autumn Critters

Happy Monday!
I am up on the Sweet 'n Sassy blog today with these cards featuring the Fur-ever Friends set from our September release. This set has the most adorable critters.

I can't believe that september is over, where did it go? With that being said, it's beginning to look like fall here in the western North Carolina mountains. The leaves are starting to turn and and I am sure by the time I return from my trip there will be autumn splendor.

Now for the deets on my cards.
The first one I started with a white top folding card base, a black onyx  pane for the mat and a white panel for the focak image. I stamped the wood slice from the Wood Backgrounds set on the white panel using Chocolate Truffle amalgam ink mixed with Honey Mustard ink both by Gina K Designs. ext I stamped the deer image with some Ink on 3 Blackout Detail ink. I love this ink because it dries super fast and doesn't smear. I colored the little fawn and a few leaves with Copic markers and fussy cut them out. I stamped the greeting on black onyx using Ink on 3 embossing ink (my favorite ) and embossed it in white powder and used the Cut-Align to cut it down to size.

The second card uses the same set, Fur-ever Friends but this time I paired the cute fox up with a stencil by Simon Says Stamp. I stamped the fox and then mased him off and created the background using Life Changing Blender Brushes, removed the mask and colored him using Copic markers. The greeting is a sneak peek of an upcoming set.

Joy Clair Fall in Love

Hello and welcome to the Joy Clair Fall in Love event with all of our design team, so be sure to head to the Joy Clair blog so you can see everyone's project using our new release stamps.

To create my card I used the new release Falling Leaves Background with the Hello Sentiments set.
I started with a white top folding card base and stamped it twice once once on scrap paper and once on the card front. I colored the one stamped on the scratch paper using Copic markers and fussy cut it out and then attached it to the card front and left the rest f the leaves uncolored. For the greeting I used the Hello Sentiments and outlined the hello with a fine black marker. The word fall is from the Hello Autumn set

Leaves

Happy Saturday!
It's tie for anther challenge at Addicted to CAS, our sponsor is Happy Little Stampers with a $15 gift certificate to their shop.

It's supposed to be a gloomy day here in the mountains cold and rainy and most of the leaves have actually fell from the trees because if high winds.
For my card I started with a kraft top folding note card and the With Gratitude set by Altenew. I stamped the leaves and then used Faber Castelle poloychromos pencils to color them in.
This card is also for Holly' Falliday Fest challenge to create a fall card without using white or vanilla cardstock.

Inspired by a Film

It's time for another challenge at AAA Cards our sponsor this time is Winnie & Walter with a $25 gift certificate to the store. We have a fun challenge for you

Can you guess what film inspired my card? The answer is on the AAA cards blog but don't peek, take a guess and leave a comment there just might be a prize involved.

To make my card I started with a white top folding note card and a white panel cut down with a stitched die. I stamped the scarecrow image from the set Happy Harvest by Lawn Fawn and masked it off to stamp the corn around it.
I colored the scarecrow with Copic markers and the car is stamped with Harvest Fresh Ink.

Coffee Lovers Fall Bloghop

I am back from Retreat, just in time to make a card for the Fall Coffee Lovers Bloghop. I do not drink coffee but I  do drink plenty of tea and pumpkin spice lattes.

To make my card I used a new set by Stampin Up, Merry Cafe and the Coffee Cups framelits along with my favorite autumn sets, Vintage Leaves.

To make my card I started with a white top folding note card and randomly stamped some leaves from the Vintage Leaves set in Pumpkin Pie, So Saffron and Pool Party diagonally across the front of the card. Next I used some patterned paper and stamped the latte cup and lid and die cut them with the Coffee Cup framelits. I finished the card by adding the greeting  from the Merry Cafe set on a sleeve also cut with the Coffee Cups framelits.

Ombre'

Happy Saturday!
It's time for another challenge at Addicted to CAS, our sponsor for this challenge is Happy Little Stampers with a $15 gift certificate.

For my card I started with a top folding white card base, a white panel cut down with a stitched die from the Blueprints 15 from MFT Stamps and a piece of watercolor paper.  I stamped the leaf image from the Lace Leaf Stamp set from Concord & 9th in Versamark ink and then embossed it in white.  I always use the MISTI when stamping on watercolor paper because of the texture, to make sure I get a crisp image. Another tip on the MISTI is I also use the Mini Misti to line up my panel. I just police my card base in the corner and then it allows me to place my front on and it not be crooked, give it a try.
To get the ombre effect on the leaf I sponged the following distress inks from top to bottom, Rusty Hinge, Spiced Marmalade, Wild Honey and Scattered Straw.
For the shadow, I sponged the inks directly on the stamp and them stamped it on the paper. To finish the card I added the greeting in Memento Tuxedo Black and a strip of design paper on the inside.

Happy Stamping,

Harvest Of Blessings

Happy Election Day

If you are like me you are not watching the news at the present moment, the Hallmark channel is so much happier. I did my civic duty and voted and as I was voting I prayed for direction. The one thing we have to remember regardless of how this turns out is that God is in control, the outcome will not be a surprise to Him at all. So I am resting in that and making cards and watching the Hallmark channel.

So let's get on to a happier note on how I made this card, it was pretty simple as the majority of my cards are. I started with a top folding white card base and a white panel cut down with a stitched die. The image is two separate stamps so I used the MISTI to line them up. The stamp set is from My Favorite Things and I used Copic markers to color them and added the greeting underneath by also using the MISTI. To finish the card I added some designer paper from Reverse Confetti as the mat for my focal panel and also a strip for the inside.

So Very Thankful

It's time for another AAA Cards challenge and our sponsor is Happy Little Stampers with a $20 gift certificate so you will want to play along.

I chose thanksgiving and made a thankful for you card using a set from Concord & 9th, Lace Leaf Bundle. Simple card to make, I started with a white top folding card base and a piece of watercolor paper. I embossed the lace leaf with white embossing powder on the watercolor paper and then watercolored it with Zig Clean Color realbrush pens to achieve a fall color.

Thanks and Giving

Another quick share for the Fallidays challenges at Splitcoaststampers. This card  is Lori's challenge of texture and uses a Ghosting technique. It was simple to make I started with a top folding white card base and a white panel cut with a stitched die. For the background I blended lots of distress inks, Carved Pumpkin, Rusty Hinge, Squeezed Lemonade, Spiced Marmalade, Ripe Persimmon and Mustard Seed. I used a leaf stamp from the Vintage Leaves Stampin Up set and wet it with some water and then let it sit on the paper for about 5 seconds, The distress inks reacted to the water and left the imprint of the leaf. I added a little more texture by using a stencil with Gathered Twigs and to finish it I added a sentiment from a retired SU set.

So Suzy October Release

Happy Wednesday!
It's finally here, the So Suzy Stamps October release is live and ready for you to shop.
For my card I used the Maple Line Leaf and the Autumn Shows stamps, love both of these. This release is fabulous so make sure you check out our FB page to see how they are used by the rest of the DT.

To make my card I started with a top folding white A2 card base and a white panel cut with my go to stitched die.  I randomly stamped the leaf image with Versamark ink and embossed with white embossing powder.  For the background I blended Mustard Seed, Carved Pumpkin, and Crushed Olive. I left a little corner with no image so I could stamp the greeting in the space. I love how pretty these leaves are when they are embossed, I have added a closeup of them below

Thanks for looking!

Fall is Here

I am on Vacation and this didn't post, I didn't get a chance to post it until now.

It's time for a new game at AAA Cards, our sponsor is Stampendous and they are offering a $20 voucher to their store.

To make my card I started with a top folding A2 card base and a white panel cut with a stitched die from My Favorite Things. I stamped the scarecrow in the center of the panel and then again on some masking paper, cut it out and placed it over my stamped image. Next I used a stencil and some distress inks for the background. After removing the masking paper I colored the scarecrow with Copic markers and paper pieced his shirt and hat. To finish the card I added the Happy Harvest greeting.
