Starry Nights

Today's card is for this weeks CAS challenge at Splitcoaststampers. Did you realize that Splitcoaststampers has daily challenges and there is no expiration date so you can play along at any given time and also go there for lots of inspiration.

To make this card, I started with white top folding A2 card base and a white panel. I created a sky background on the panel and then used starry dies for the night sky, I also added some smaller stars using a white gel pen and then cut a circle out of the panel.
I stamped, colored  and cut out the bunnies and added them at the bottom of the circle looking up at the stars.
To finish the card I added the greeting.

Craft Roulette Episode 194

Today's card is for Episode 194 of Craft Roulette.
The four parameters are
Project: Square - square element
Colors: Nest - can be any colors because birds just collect things.
Element: Ladder(s) - plaid has ladders in the design
Random: Add a cat - tabby
There is still time to play along if you are a Craft Roulette patron.
To make my card, I started with a white top folding A2 card base, a panel of plaid patterned paper and a couple scraps of kraft cardstock.
I stamped the kitty on a scrap of white CS, colored him and then fussy cut him out. I used another scrap of white to cut a stitched square out of. I cut the patterned paper at a diagonal and added a strip of kraft to the top of it. To finish the card, I added a sentiment from a different set.

Craft Roulette

I finally got around to playing along with Craft Roulette. If you have not heard of it you can go HERE to learn more.

To make this card, I started with a 4.25 x 4.25 card base, a white piece of cardstock and a sprout piece of cardstock.
I created a night sky by masking off the front of the card base and ink blending several colors of distress ink. I added stars using a white gel pen.
I stamped the ferris wheel twice, colored them and cut them out with the coordinating die. I added a brad to the ferris wheel so it actually turns.
To finish the card I added the grass and the sentiment.

Winter is here

A new challenge is up at Make the Cards challenge.  Its a theme challenge and the theme is winter. I tell ya, winter is already here in the mountains, it crazy cold

This is also day 9 of my Christmas series

To make this card, I started with a white top folding card base and a white panel cut to the same size as the base.  I cut several other pieces of white card stock for the globe and snow.
I started by running the panel through the die cutting machine with the snowflake backdrop die and then I created a night sky by ink blending Prize Ribbon, Wilted Violet and Villainous Potion, I added some extra starts by using a white gel pen.  I added some snow drifts, the church, a couple trees and the car to complete my scene. Next I created a flat shaker element by repurposing some stamp packaging and using chunky glitter.
To finish the card I added the base of the snow globe using silver foil cardstock and the sentiment which I embossed in silver on Sea Glass cardstock.

Welcome Baby

Today's card is for the new CAS challenge on Splitcoaststampers. The challenge is Leap. Couldn't put my hands on a frog stamp so a kangaroo leaps right?

To make this card I started with a white top folding card base, a white panel and a ballet slippers panel for a mat. I stamped the mama kangaroo on a seperate piece of white cardstock, colored it with Copic markers and then masked it off to blend the background.
On the white panel I created a background by stamping the word baby over the entire panel in ballet slipper.
To finish the card I added a gold embossed sentiment

Rainbow Valentine

Welcome to day 3 of my little valentines series. Valentines day to me is not just for couples, to me it's a day to show others no matter who they are that they are loved and appreciated.
It's like a Jesus day to show the love of Jesus to everyone.

My card today is also for the Beyond the Blue challenges. The BTB challenge team is just a group of friends who follow Lydia at Understandblue (thus the name) and use her different technique as challenges.
To create this card, I started with a white top folding card base and some patterned paper.
I used the Magic Color Slider Die by Lawn Fawn to make the slider portion of my card.

Daisy, Daisy

I am up on the Rinea blog today with this card.
I love this daisy die and I knew it would be the perfect fit for our foiled papers. To create this one I went a little of a different route.  I cut the solid parts out of regular cardstock and used Mocha/Mocha Starstruck for the center, Gold/Gold Starstruck for the petals, and Jade/Gold Glossy for the stem and leaves.  I also used the Mocha Starstruck for the frame.

Today was my last post as a design team member for Rinea. I didn't sign back up for another year, however they were very generous with their products so you will continue to see projects using their foiled papers.

Spiro Birthday

It's time for our monthly Stencil challenge over at Happy Little Stampers. As always it is Anything goes so I am excited to see how you will use your stencils.

Stencils are definitely the cheapest and most useful art supply and you can find so many different designs at A Colorful Life Designs.
Ro make this card I used the Spiro stencil along with some distress inks and blending brushes. After I created my background, I used a Lawn Fawn diecut for this bright and cheery birthday card.
