Happy Halloween

I spent the last two days doing a card making marathon for the Fallidays Fest at Splitcoaststampers. I had made a few cards for the challenges here and there but Saturday I decided that I wanted to do a card for each challenge plus an addition 7 to be a Yeti.  Let's just say that I have discovered I have lots more mojo when I am crunched. This card was for a color challenge o make Yeti status of Blackberry Bliss, Tangelo Twist and Daffodil Delight with an option of Halloween.  Used the above colors mentioned and blended them together and then added the bare tree from the Seltering Tree set by Stampin Up. the bird and the Happy Halloween are from a retired SU set.

It's tie for anther challenge at Addicted to CAS, our sponsor is Happy Little Stampers with a $15 gift certificate to their shop.

It's supposed to be a gloomy day here in the mountains cold and rainy and most of the leaves have actually fell from the trees because if high winds. 

For my card I started with a kraft top folding note card and the With Gratitude set by Altenew. I stamped the leaves and then used Faber Castelle poloychromos pencils to color them in.

This card is also for Holly' Falliday Fest challenge to create a fall card without using white or vanilla cardstock.

Wise Men

I am up on the Sweet 'n Sassy blog today, featuring one of my favorite Christmas sets of ours We Three Kings. I love this silhouette of the wise men traveling to see the newborn king.

Think Pink

My card share tonight is for a couple different challenges. Falliday is still going on over at Slitcoaststampers and I am way behind. I made this card for Lee's challenge of Glittering Faux Suede. If you haven't played along yet you have until the 31 to get your cards and tutorial projects uploaded. There are 30 card challenges and 10 tutorials along with some card drives you can participate in as well.  To make my card I started with a top folding Flirty Flamingo top folding note card and a white panel cut down with a stitched die. I stamped the ribbon from the set Hope Ribbon by CAS-ual Fridays Stamps in Hero Arts Cotton Candy.  For the Ribbon I created a piece of Faux Suede by taking a piece of Flirty Flamingo card stock and roughing it up with a sanding block, after I got it rough then I swiped the Versamark inked across the entire front. Next I added some heat and stick powder and melted it with the heat tool and added some glitter to the entire piece while it was sticky. I used this piece to cut out the Ruffled Ribbon and the Hope Fri-dies. To finish the card I added both of them to the front panel and bumped up the ribbon with foam tape.

Odd

My card share today features this cute set "If the Hat Fits" by Simon Says Stamp. I just love those witches hats and it has some cute greetings to go along with it. 

To make my card I started with a white top folding note card and added some wonky stitching around it with the Silly Stitched dies by Lil' Inker Designs. 

I masked off the hats one by one so they would be stacked on top of each other and then colored them with Chameleon pens. I created a background around them using Copic markers  (pointillism technique) and the star stamps from the set.

Block Party

Happy Friday! 

Today I am hosting a challenge over at Splitcoaststampers for the Falliday Fest, this time of year is my favorite with fall colors, Thanksgiving and then Christmas. These challenges help you get ready for these holidays be sure to check them out, there are also prizes for participation. 

My card is one that will go to the victims, families and medical personal who were involved in the horrific shooting in Las Vegas

To make my card I started with a side folding white note card and a panel cut down with a stitched die. I used a new set by Stampin Up, Count My Blessings and colored the images with the soon to be released Stampin Blends. The background was made by inking up the "H" acrylic block by Stampin Up. To finish the card I added some sequins to give it a little sparkle.
