Make The Cards Challenge - Masculine

It's Monday and that means it's time for a new challenge at Make The Cards Challenge.  This week we have a theme for you of Masculine.
if you are like me, you don't have near enough masculine cards in your stash.
I hope you will play along with us.

To create this card, I started with a white top folding card base, a black panel and a panel of white Heavystock. Ever since I took Jenn's distress techniques class I am hooked on distress backgrounds.
I embossed the images from the Gear Up set by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps with Hickory Smoke Embossing Glaze and then created the  background  using Twisted Citron, Hickory Smoke and Ground Espresso in distress oxides.
I adhered the panel to the black panel and to finish the card I embossed the Happy Birthday in white on a black strip and added to the front.

To create this clean and simple less than 5 minute card, I started with a  white top folding card base, a white panel cut to A2 size, The Classic Father's Day set by Joy Clair and Loud Lie Electric Pop ink by Gina K Designs.  I used the Direct to Paper technique using the Loud Lime and then stamped the image in the new Obsidian Amalgam ink by Gina K Designs.

Woodland Prayers

I am up on the Sweet 'n Sassy Blog, sharing another card using our Wood Backgrounds stamp set.
Masculine cards can be very hard to make and this set makes it much easier.
To create my card I started with a white top folding white card base and a white panel cut down a quarter of an inch smaller. I stamped the tree ring from the Wood Backgrounds set (which by the way is the stamp of the month you can earn free with a $75 order now through Dec 31st) in Versamark ink and embossed it with clear powder.  I used some Gathered Twigs distress oxide ik ad blended it over the tree ring. I stamped the trees from the Thrill of Hope set in Green and the went over them with Pine Needles oxide ink and fussy cut them out. The deer is from the Tender Thoughts set which is an older set that makes a great guy card. To finish the card I added the greeting from The Scripty Thoughts set.

Crazy Dogs

Happy Sunday!
It's time for another challenge at AAA Cards, our sponsor for our masculine challenge is Stampendous and if you play along you have the chance to won a $20 gift certificate.

For today's card I am laying with  Tim Holtz' Crazy Dogs, they are the cutest.
Making this card was so simple, I started with a top folding Crumb Cake base and a white stitched panel using my go to frame from My Favorite Things from the Blueprints 15 set. I stamped the image and colored it with Copic markers, then masked it off and used a stencil and some Ground Expresso distress ink to create the background. To finish it off I added the sentiment in the center.

This one is also for the Falliday challenges at Splitcoaststampers, The challengers are over, but you still have time to play along if you'd like. You have until October 31st at noon central time to upload your projects.

Bark

Hi there, and thanks for stopping by!
I needed a masculine thanks card and this stamp from Concord & 9th was perfect.
To make my card I started with a Crumb Cake top folding card base, the MISTI tool and a sheet of watercolor paper.  I used the MISTI stamping tool to stamp the Tree Ring in versamark ink, I always used the MISTI when stamping on watercolor paper because of the texture. Next I embossed it in white and used Zig Clean color real brush pens to color the image, after it was dry, I used the MISTI again to stamp the leaves from the Flourish set across the image. I ran the panel through my machine using the stitched die from My favorite Things Blueprints 15, this has become my go to die for panels.
To finish my card I added the Thanks wood veneer word.

Game #71- Blending

It's time for a new game at AAA Cards and it's one of my favorites, I hope you will play along. Happy Little Stampers is our sponsor and offering a  $20 gift certificate to their shop.

I love to blend even though you get pretty inky doing so. To make my card I started with an A2 Crumb Cake base and a white panel for my blending. I used some repositionable labels from Avery and tore in it two pieces and attached it to the panel to serve as a mask. I used Tempting Turquoise, Crumb Cake and Baked Brown Sugar and blended them for the sky and sand, after I achieved the look I wanted, I stamped the images, removed the mask and stamped the greeting.
