Summertime's Calling Me

It's time for a new challenge at Addicted to CAS. Our sponsor is Happy Little Stampers with a gift certificate to their store. Our hostess Jaydee chose the code word

To create my card I started with a Flirty Flamingo card base and a white panel cut down with a stitched die. I used the Textures Tiles 2 by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps and paired it up with Be A Flamingo also by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps

Thanks A Melon

Can you believe that school is starting back already? seems like it gets earlier each year. Since summer is almost over I decided to make another watermelon card. I made this one for a couple challenges. The dare to get Dirty challenges over on Splitcoast Stampers and the CASology challenge of Juicy, because watermelon is definitely juicy and so yummy!

To make my card I started with a top folding white card base and some bristol paper because I have found that the distress oxide inks blend very well on this type paper.
I started by blending Lucky Clover at the bottom, then a strip of Twisted Citron and finishing it with Candy Apple, after i got it all the oxide inks blended out I used the Mini Scenery: Spotty stamp by Winnie & Walter. This stamp is the perfect watermelon stamp, don't you agree? To finish the card I cut the panel down with a stitched die by Lil Inker Designs and added the greeting from the Orange You Sweet set by Concord & 9th.

Beachy Wedding

Today I am playing with some Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. I combined three different sets to make my Beachy wedding card. I stamped the shell and starfish from the Beauty by the Sea set in versa mark ink and embossed them with white embossing powder. Next I stamped the beach umbrella from the Wish you were Here set, used the Umbrella die to cut it out and colored it in one of the wedding colors. The sentiment is from the Inspirational Word Art 1 set.
I finished it by sponging some brown ink around the shells to give it a little beach sand.

Here are the sets I used

Paradise!

Today I am playing with my favorite beach set ever! Ocean Paradise from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. When I see the challenge is beaches or summer, this is my go to set. It is super fun to mask off and create the sponged sand, water and sky.
This is another one for the Dare to get Dirty challenges at Splitcoast Stampers.
I am also entering it over at

and
I am also entering over at Less is More for their Color challenge, since the last card I entered didn't have enough white space for their challenge of Color. I hope this one is sufficient.

Got Popsicle?

Today I am playing with The Stamps Of Life to make a card for a couple challenges. The CAS challenge at Splitcoast Stampers of "summer treats"
It's going to be a hot week here in Colorado and popsicles are so good on a hot summer day.
To make my card I used the two popsicle sets pops2eat and patterns4pops along with the matching popsicle dies
I random stamped the houndstooth pattern in the patterns4pops to make my background and then added some liquid pearls.

I am also entering this one in the sketch challenge at
CAS on Sunday

and Simon Says Monday challenge
I scream for....
Popsicles, I love Ice Cream, but I am lactose intolerant so it's popsicles

Sweet Summer

Today I am playing with The Stamps of Life. I can say it is officially Summer here in Colorado but it's going to be beautiful for the holiday weekend.  I used two different sets to make my card, pops2eat and patterns4pops, along with the matching Popsicle die don't you just love that houndstooth popsicle? The card die I used is a Flip-it die, these make cards super fast and easy to make.

I'm Back

Wow, where did June go? I was on vacation and then had family in and June is gone. I have some things to catch up on, so you may see duplicable post on one day for the rest of the month.
My card today uses the newly released Popsicle Dies that match The Stamps of Life popsicle sets, pops2eat and patterns4pops. I also used one of the Folders from the Flowers/Dots 3pk embossing folders
To make my card I stamped the popsicle image from the pops2eat set and then covered it with glitter, I also added glitter to the embossed border.

Release day at The Stamps of Life

Today Stephanie released the Popsicle dies that go with the pops2eat and the patterns4pops sets. No more fussy cutting and they give your card so much dimension.

Sweet 'n Sassy Summer Die Release

Hello, Sweet 'n Sassy  friends!
Welcome to the August 2014 Release!  Dies seem to be the trend in card making right now and Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps has some fabulous new dies to release this month that coordinate with several of our summer stamp sets already available in the store!  The bonus is that even though these stamps and dies were designed to be summer sets, they can be used all year long for the beach lover, as you can see from my samples. They can be fun or elegant it's all in how you use them!

My first sample is using them for a fun card

I made the background using a stencil and sponging with Lost Lagoon SU ink, next I sprayed it with some Heidi Swap color shine to give it contrast and shimmer.  I colored my  Happy Ocean Friends with Copic markers and cut them out with the coordinating dies.  I added some Tall Grass for the little fishy to swim through and to finish it I added some bubbles using crystal accents.

  • Die set includes 7 dies
  • Designed by Korin Sutherland
  • Die set price is $16.75

Next up is my sample using them for an elegant card

This one I colored The Flourish Seashells with m Copic markers a light pinkish white, cut them out using the coordinating dies , then added a little shimmer to the edges with a Wink of Stella.

  • Die set includes 5 dies
  • Designed by Korin Sutherland
  • Die set price is $11.75

And last I used them for an everyday card could be for a birthday, retirement, or moving

This one was super quick and easy having the dies to match the set. I colored my shells from Beauty By The Sea a pale pinkish white with my Copic markers and cut them out using the coordinating dies. I again added some shimmer with A Wink of Stella, then added some shimmery tine to finish it off.

  • Die set includes 6 dies
  • Designed by Korin Sutherland
  • Die set price is $15.25
