His Mercies

Today starts a new challenge at AA A Cards. It's time to follow Marlies. Her sample is below 

For my card I flipped my base to a vertical base and went along the side with a floral image from Tim Holtz. I added a encouraging sentiment as this one is going to a friend who is going through a rough time. 

Following Jane

Today starts a new game at AAA Cards.  Game 312 is one of our newer games, Follow my Lead.The challenge is to make a projet following the leaders example. Our leader is Jane and you can find her card over on the AAA Cards blog.

To make this card, I started with an A2 white top folding card base and a white panel. I masked off the outer portions of the card so I would have a strip down the middle. I used the Tilted Plaid stencil by Erin Lee Creative to create the focal point down the center. I cut out the "hey" using the white panels and added it to the front

Rainbow!

Today starts a new challenge at Addicted to CAS.  I am the hostess this fortnight and I chose the code word.. Rainbow. 

The rainbow reminds us that God keeps his promises and His mercies are new every morning. 

To make this card, I started with a white top folding A2 card base, a white panel and some scraps of colored cardstock. 

I ran the panel of white cardstock through the die cutting machine using the Cloudy Double Card Front die and added a sentiment at the bottom. 

I used the rainbow from the Sending Smiles dies and cut it out of several colors of scraps and then pieced it together and added it to the panel. 

ATSM 497 - Christmas

Today starts a new challenge at Addicted to Stamps & More. Our challenge is Christmas and if you are like me you can always use Christmas Cards   in your stash. I always need Christmas cards because I make them for a nursing home. I hope you will play along with us

To make this card, I started with a white top folding card base, a light blue panel of cardstock and some patterned paper from my stash.

I cut the "Noel" die cut out of silver and gold foil.  Next I cut the oval from the patterned paper. I ran the light blue panel through the die cutting machine using a cover plate by Pinkfresh Studio. 

Star

Today starts a new challenge at Addicted to CAS, Nancy is our hostess and she chose code word...

I happen to think this was an excellent choice and came at the right time because I needed to make a card for a veteran who is going on a honor flight this weekend. So this is the card I made for him.

I started with a white top folding card base and a white panel. I used a star die by Erin Lee Creative and cut it out of Gold, Silver, and Navy. I kept the gold outline then pieced back in three gold, three silver and one navy star. 

To finish the card, I added the Hero sentiment on the outside and thank you for your service on the inside. 

O' Holy Night

Welcome to Day 19 of my holiday series, 25 Days of Christmas Inspiration.

To make this card, I stated with a white top folding A2 card base and a white panel cut to the same size.  I used a stencil by Erin Lee Creative that I am in love with and I think that this just might be the holiday card I make for my church family. It will make it a lot faster and easier by using a stencil.

Sending Sunshine at Christmas

Welcome to Day 15 of my holiday series, 25 Days of Christmas Inspiration.

We are over half way through and there is only 12 days until Christmas. this year has flown by so fast. 

To make this card, I started with a white top folding A2 card base and a white panel.  I created a background by using one of the Berries and Leaves stencils by Kristina Werner and some Green Gold ink by Altenew. 

Th cardinal is by Erin Lee Creative and unfortunately is discontinued (insert sad face) 

I cut all the pieces of the cardinal out of white heavystock and then ink blended the bird using Cherry Sweet and Rhodolite by Altenew. The beak, branch, black and feet I colored using OLO Markers. I added white gel pen for the eye. 

I added him to the panel and then stamped the greeting which is from Christmas Blessings by Simon Says Stamp.

Anything Goes at AAA Cards

Today starts a new challenge at AAA Cards. It's anything goes so I hope you will play along with us. If you are working on holiday cards there is an optional twist of Christmas/Winter.

To make my card, I started with a white top folding A2 card base and a white panel. I stamped the greeting and the cross with embossing ink and embossed them with gold powder. 

Simple but makes a statement.

Patriotic cards for Vets

I am up on the CutCardStock Blog today sharing these two patriotic cards and also to inform you of a sale on red, white and blue cardstock during the month of June. Stock up to make your patriotic cards. 

To make both of these cards, I started with Neenah Solar White precut and scored card bases sold in a bundle with the panels included. I also used Red Wagon and Blast Off Blue for mats. These pre cut and scored card bases and panels are the bomb.com! It takes less time than having to cut and score your cardstock. CutCardStock can do it for you on any cardstock that you order for a small fee and it's well worth it.

A star die by Erin Lee Creative allowed me to make two cards. Could have actually made three cards but I accidently tore the glitter outline. I cut one from Red Wagon, one from Blast Off Blue and one from Silver Glitter cardstock. These were added to white panels. Next, I interchanged the colors, adding some red, blue and silver glitter cardstock for sparkle. Finally, I adhered the panel to a mat and then onto the base. Additionally, I stamped patriotic sentiments under the stars from a stamp set also by Erin Lee Creative

Craft Roulette Episode 211

Today's card is for this episode 211 of Craft Roulette. Kelly Taylor was the special guest and here are the parameters. I made a badge that I can use each week.

To make this card, I started with a white top folding A2 card base and cardstock for the jeep and balloons.

I stamped the balloons, colored them and then fussy cut them out. For the jeep I cut out the main body and pieces out of white cardstock and colored them using OLO markers. I cut the grille and bumper out of silver cardstock and the tires and light bar out of black. You can't really see it in the photo but I used a scoreboard to make grooves in the tires. 

This card was super fun to make. I have linked the supplies below. 

The balloons are from Taylored Expressions but have been discontinued.

Craft Roulette

Today's card is this weeks submission to Craft Roulette episode 202. 

The parameters are:

Project: 5x7 card

Colors: Formal & informal

Element: Warm(s)

Random: Crisscross

To make this card, I started with a white side folding A7 "5x7" card base. 

I used a "crisscross" pattern stencil for the background ink blended in yellow which is a "warm" color.  I stamped the floral image in black and didnt color it so it is "formal" and included a teal "informal" butterfly. 

You know I am officially hooked if I am making a 5x7 card.

Speciality Valentine

Welcome to Day 10 of my valentines series. 

Today's cards uses products by Hero Arts.

I love to put puzzles together and that may be why I love to paper piece dies back together. Both of these cards use speciality papers.

To make these cards, I started with white top folding A2 card bases and white panels to build on  using speciality papers. 

For the first card, I used black glitter paper and the negative of the cover die from the card below. 

For the card below I cut the cover die out of pink glitter paper and holographic paper. I used the negative piece of the pink glitter an then paper pieced the positive holographic pieces back in the negative space. I also cut some red glitter paper hearts as well to piece in the negative spaces with the pink glitter paper which is from a previous My Monthly Hero Kit.
