Watercolor Bokeh

Hi there and thanks fro stopping by!
Today's card is using the Watercolor Bokeh technique. I am sharing the tutorial on how to make this beautiful background on the Sweet 'n Sassy Blog. It's a fun technique so I hope you will head over and give it a try.
This card is for Day 27 for the 30 Day coloring challenge at The Daily Marker. I colored the butterfly with Copic markers and then decided it was a little to bold for my background, so I stamped another in versa mark ink and embossed it in white to put over the colored one, it makes it much more subtle.

I am also entering this one at CAS(E) This Sketch

Here are the supplies I used from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps

Playing Catch Up From A Busy Weekend

My weekend was busy but it was super FUN, It started with leaving early Saturday morning for a IKEA trip with friends and not returning home until late Saturday night , of course since we were in Denver, we hit several other stores as well, including the Container Store. Sunday after church I was on the road again to Denver, this time with the Hubs for a steak dinner and a phenomenal, epic concert (an early birthday gift) put on by Garth Brooks and his lovely bride Trisha Yearwood. We did not get back home until after midnight, so that left me with little crafting time, so I will be playing catch up on the 30 day coloring challenge at The Daily Marker and for my Online card Class, stretch your dies. This card is for Day 19 of the coloring challenge. I actually colored it yesterday before I left, just didn't  put the card together of get a post ready until today.
I used a new release from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Mini Flower Blocks 2 and an older companion set to it Flower Blocks 2.

30 day Coloring Challenge - Day 16

Late night card for Day 16 of the coloring challenge at The Daily Marker. This is also for Day 4 of the online card class I am taking Stretch Your Dies.  Today's focus was mini dies and Jennifer Rzasa taught how to make a background out of them. I loved her card, so I made something similar. I used the mini party hats from Lil Inker and the Mini Balloons from Avery Elle. I started with Watercolor paper and Tim Holtz distress inks and ended up with this ombre look. The greeting is from a SU set, From The Herd.

Halfway There

It's day 15 for the 30 day coloring challenge that I am participating in at The Daily Marker, so I am halfway to the finish. I also made this card for the online class that I am taking, "Stretch Your Dies". Jennifer McGuire taught how to use your dies you have on hand to make a gate fold card. I needed to make some more easter cards, so I used an egg die from Memory Box and a few sets from Stampin Up, Indescribable Gift , Gorgeous Grunge
and Something Lacy background stamp. I colored the image with Copic markers and the stamped the background in Smoky Slate, I didn't get a clean image on my background stamping so I sponged around the edges to hide my mistake. If I would have been able to use the MISTI this partial stamping would have not happened, but my background stamp is wood mounted. Since owning the MISTI, I now order my stamps in Photopolymer or cling mount.

Here is my card when opened
