Be a Rainbow

It's time for a new challenge at Addicted to CAS, Vicky is our hostess and she chose the code word Sky.

When I think of sy I think of rainbows and who does't love rainbows.

To create this card, I started with a top folding white card base. I created the "sky" background by using a stencil and the Life Changing Blender brushes. I diecut the A2 size Rainbow Rays by Erin Lee Creative out of white cardstock and then colored it with Copic markers and attached them to the sky panel. I cut out the cloud die from the Shine Bright kit of holographic cardstock and added it to the rainbow. To finish the card I added a greeting from the Rainbow Sentiments stamp set also by ELC

Shine

Hey there and thanks for stopping by! 

Today I am sharing a card made with my favorite die ever, Jumbo Skinny Rainbow.  I love all things rainbow so I was so excited when this die was released. This is one rainbow die that should be in every crafters collection. It pairs so well with other ELC products.

To create my card I started with  a white top folding card base and a white panel. I created the clouds by using an older stencil from her first rainbow kit along with the Blending Brushes. I used the Jumbo Skinny Rainbow die and cut out all the rainbow colors with it. Next using that same die I cut it out of my cloudy panel and placed the colorful arches back in the negative space. I added a cloud to the bottom with a die from my stash and to finish the card I added the Shine die cut out of holographic paper.   

I love it when you can use one supply and make multiple cards using the left over pieces and with this die you can do just that. 

I love Erin ‘s eclectic style, she never disappoints!

Rainbow Unicorn

One last card for April, using this super cute set Be Unique. 

If you look closely there may be a sneak peek of a set that will be released tomorrow. 

To create my card I started with a top folding white card base, a white panel cut down with a postage stamp die.  I stamped the Unicorn image and then masked it off, while it was masked I simple added dots of color all around it using a blending tool. I removed the mask and colored the unicorn with Copic markers and then added some shimmer using Wink of Stella, I also added some glossy accents to the mane. 

To finish the card I added some rainbow patterned paper by Lawn Fawn to the front and then added the panel to it using foam tape. 

This Little Piggy

I am back on a rainbow kick it seems.If you didn't take the Rainbow Maker class as Online Card Classes you are missing out, so go sign u for it now!  This card is also for our team challenge number 14 of 15 and for a friend that I overlooked her birthday, The inside says "is is sorry for missing your birthday!"

To make this one I started with a white top folding note card, a black panel and a white panel cut down with a stitched die.

I stamped and masked off the piggy and then using a balloon stencil I sponged on the balloons behind him in ROY G BIV order of course. To finish the card I removed the mask and colored the little piggy from the This Little Piggy set using Comic markers 

Day Two of Rainbow Maker

I had to move on to Day two of the Rainbow Maker card class, I don't think I will get done before the galleries close but at least I can get a few cards in there.

I am loving this class because I love rainbows and color so you will continue to see lots of color in the coming days as I finish the class.

This card uses the set Balloon Celebration and the Stylized Birthday sentiment both by Stampin Up. I randomly stamped the balloon across the top in rainbow order and as I stamped I also stamped a second generation as well.

I used the Creative Corners by My Sweet Petunia to help me line up the greeting since it is wood mounted.

Still Day One

Yep I am still on day one of the Rainbow Maker card class at Online Card Classes. 

Today I used the stamp set Lovely Friends by Stamping Up, Distress inks and lots of sequins.

This card was super simple to make, I stated with a top folding note card and a panel cut down with a stitched die. I sponged the colors around in rainbow order and then added sequins in the colors also.

Rainbow Maker Day One

I am taking a class at Online Card Classes called Rainbow Maker. Actually this class was all last week but schedule didn't allow me the time to work on any of the cards because I was super busy working on the Dare to Get Dirty challenge cards. So here is a card from Day one only 6 days late :)

This is a case of the card that Laura Bassen created in the class and let me tell ya hers looks way better than mine. 

To make my card I used a top folding note card and a panel cut down with a stitched die. For the balloons I used the new balloon die by Concord & 9th along with a stencil by Neat & Tangled. The happy is from the Happy Words set by Concord & 9th and the birthday is also by Concord & 9th from the Hooray set.

To finish off the card I added some clear sequins to give it a little sparkle.
