You can also help find a cure by purchasing products from the Calling All Sistahs line where 50% of the profits go towards breast cancer research.

June Reminder

It's the 17th and that means it's time to Call All Sistahs to check your girls!
Mammograms are important but so are self checks and we are reminding you to do that today. I have had several of my friends battle this horrible disease and have lost friends and my mom to breast cancer so please heed our reminder and check yourself.

Cancer can be beaten if caught early so please do self exams and get your mammograms once a year if thats what the doctor suggests. You can also help find a cure by purchasing products from the Calling All Sistahs line where 50% of the profits go towards breast cancer research.

To create my card, I started with a white card base and a white panel cut down with a stitched die. I stamped the floral ribbon from the Hope Ribbon set using It's a girl ink by Catherine Pooler. Next I stamped the greeting from the set Dream Then Do to keep it simple. For the pink mat I used the direct to paper technique with the It's a girl ink

To make my card I started with a white top folding card base and a piece of watercolor paper cut down with a stitched die. To create the background I shared some distress oxide ink in Worn Lipstick and Picked Raspberry on the craft mat and spritzed with water then laid the watercolor paper in it, I repeated this several times until I achieved the look I wanted. To finish the card I added the greeting from the set Hope Ribbon and cut of the ribbon using the Ruffled Ribbon Fri-Die and patterned paper.

I love to go to the mailbox and find happy mail instead of or with the bills, always makes my heart happy.

To create my encouragement card I started with a white top folding card base and a piece of Bristol paper cut down with a scalloped stitched die. To create my background using the inspiration colors I used some distress oxide inks in Candied Apple, Abandoned Coral, Carved Pumpkin and Squeezed Lemonade. After I achieved the look I wanted then I spritzed the background with water and then added the greeting from the Sassy Smiles set. I used the die cut Smile from the Smiling Fri-dies and cut it out of white paper several times adhered them together and added it to the card above the greeting.

January Reminder

It's a new year and the 17th so it's time to check those girls!

I have friends who are battling this horrible disease at the present time, so please get your mammograms so you are not added to the count and if you are one of my friends fighting this horrible disease, Fight like a Girl!
As I have said before I lost my mom to breast cancer at a young age and I am a survivor myself so cancer hits home with me and I do not want any more of my friends to have to fight this horrible disease.

Cancer can be beaten if caught early so please do self exams and get your mammograms once a year if thats what the doctor suggests. You can also help find a cure by purchasing products from the Calling All Sistahs line where 50% of the profits go towards breast cancer research.

To make my card I started with a white top folding card base and a piece of watercolor paper. Using the Original MISTI and the Full on Floral stamp I inked it up using Versamark ink and embossed with white embossing powder, next I taped off the sides using green painters tape because it seems to seal better. I watercolored the panel using Daniel Smith watercolors and then removed the tape to give me the edges.
To make the shaker element to my card I used the Ruffled Ribbon Fri-die and cut it out of my floral panel. I used the Word Ribbon set for the background. Using the Misti again, I placed the word ribbon in the negative space from where I cut out the ruffled ribbon and then picked it up with the lid and inked it up with "Be Mine" ink from Catherine Pooler. to finish the card I added some sequins from the Sisterhood Sparkle and a few more that I had on hand.

I also have a new code to get 15% off your order.

I have quite a few friends still fighting this horrible disease at the present time, so please get your mammograms so you are not added to the count and if you are one of my friends fighting this horrible disease, Fight like a Girl!
As I have said before I lost my mom to breast cancer at a young age and I am a survivor myself so cancer hits home with me and I do not want any more of my friends to have to fight this horrible disease.

My Reminder card uses several set by CAS-ual Fridays. The pink snowflakes are from Bring on the Snowflakes, Snowy Sayings and Sugarplum Fairy. The ribbon was created by blending Cather Pooler inks to achieve an ombre' loom and the cut out with the Ruffled Ribbon Fri-Die and the greeting is from a Calling All Sistahs set, Hope Ribbon.

Calling All Sistahs November Reminder

Happy Friday!

It's the 17th of the month and it's October and it's time for the Calling All Sistahs reminder to check your girls. I have quite a few friends still fighting this horrible disease at the present time, so please get your mammograms so you are not added to the count and if you are one of my friends fighting this horrible disease, Fight like a Girl!

Now for my reminder card.

This is a really simple cad to make. I started with a Top folding white note card and a panel cut down with a stitched die. Using the MISTI to line them up and some pink ink from Catherine Pooler Stamps I stamped the ribbon from the Hope Ribbon set three times overlapping them just a little, next I stamped the greeting from the set Calling All Sisters in Versamark ink and embossed it in black. To finish the card I aded a piece of gold cord before adhering the panel to the base.

Think Pink

My card share tonight is for a couple different challenges. Falliday is still going on over at Slitcoaststampers and I am way behind. I made this card for Lee's challenge of Glittering Faux Suede. If you haven't played along yet you have until the 31 to get your cards and tutorial projects uploaded. There are 30 card challenges and 10 tutorials along with some card drives you can participate in as well.
To make my card I started with a top folding Flirty Flamingo top folding note card and a white panel cut down with a stitched die. I stamped the ribbon from the set Hope Ribbon by CAS-ual Fridays Stamps in Hero Arts Cotton Candy.
For the Ribbon I created a piece of Faux Suede by taking a piece of Flirty Flamingo card stock and roughing it up with a sanding block, after I got it rough then I swiped the Versamark inked across the entire front. Next I added some heat and stick powder and melted it with the heat tool and added some glitter to the entire piece while it was sticky. I used this piece to cut out the Ruffled Ribbon and the Hope Fri-dies. To finish the card I added both of them to the front panel and bumped up the ribbon with foam tape.

I am also entering this one in the challenge at
CAS-ual Fridays of Think Pink

Here is a close up of the glittery faux suede ribbon
