Christmas in July - Day 30

It's day 30 of the Christmas in July hop over on Instagram and today's theme is Stripes.
To make this card, I started with a white top folding A2 card base and a white panel cutting  1/4 inch off of the sides. I stamped the Bold Background Stripes in Honeycomb ink. I cut the Poinsettia from Erin Lee Creative out of white cardstock and ink blended several reds to achieve this color. I started with Pimento and then added Poppy, Brickyard and finished with Plumberry. For the leaves I used Basil and the berries are Honeycomb. All from Concord & 9th.
The greeting is also from a set by Kristina Werner and C9, Merry Trees.

Christmas In July - Day 29

Today's theme for the Christmas in July hop over on Instagram is Embossing dry or heat. I used both.
I started with a white top folding A2 card base and a white panel cutting 1/4 off the sides. I created a blended background and then ran the panel through the die cutting machine with a 3D embossing folder. I used some metallic pens and the debossed side of the panel to highlight the ornaments. I added a heat embossed sentiment to the front to finish the card.

Caroling Christmas Cards January Edition

Today's card is for another hop over on Instagram. This one is where a group of card makers get together and host a Christmas card hop. Each month we are given two songs for inspiration. This month was "snow" and "Where are you Christmas" I tied them both into my card. I used snow of course and then I used non traditional colors that could make you ask, where are you Christmas.

To make this card, I started with a white top folding A2 base and a white panel cut to the same size. I ink blended a border of rainbow colors and then added the snow flake border cut out of white cardstock. For the greeting I embossed it with gold embossing powder for the "bright" aspect of the card.

Sending Some Holiday Sunshine

Todays card is for the Sending Sunshine Instagram hop. This is a hop that some of us crafters participate in as a spinoff from the Suicide Awareness hop. We send some sunshine aka handmade cards monthly instead of just once a year.
This month I am sending a little holiday sunshine. There are many of us, myself included that the holidays isn't necessarily a happy time for whatever reason. We lost my father in law back at the end of September and this was the last parent and its hard. The holidays always bring back memories of those we lost. If you need to talk to someone I hope you will reach out.

To make this card, I started with a white top folding A2 card base and a midnight panel. I ran the panel through the die cutting machine using a 3D embossing folder from Simon Says stamp. The ribbon die is by Kristina Werner for C9 and the sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp.

This is also Day 1 of my Christmas Series and this year it is only 5 days because grief is hard, hopefully I can make 5.

Color Cube Inspiration

Today's card is for a new hop that I am participating in over on instagram. It's the Cube abd Create hop where a group of us crafty friends are using Sarah Renae Clark's color cube combos are inspiration for our card. Each month two cards will be drawn, we can use one or the other or both.
The one I chose was No. 127 pictured below.

To make this card, I started with a white top folding A2 card base and a white panel. The products I used are from one of my favorite companies, Concord & 9th.
I used the Cara Medallion stencil pack, the Elegant Holiday Greetings and the Gift Bow Dies.
I thought that I matched the colors pretty well. The inks I used for the colors are Pimento, Clementine and Avocado by C9 and Sherbet and Cadette by Simon Says Stamp.
For more inspiration or for the deets to join in December be sure to hop over to Instagram.

988 Day

Today is a day that has become near to my heart. It's 988 day, what is that you may ask? 988 is the number you can call if you are depressed or having suicidal thoughts.  Help is only 3 numbers away.
The reason this because so dear and near to my heart is because back in 2019 I lost one of my older brothers to suicide. I would have never thought that the word suicide would become a reality. We had no clue that he would take his own life. It still hurts and always will that he felt that he could not talk to us or anyone.
Please please if you ever have those feelings make that call to 988 and get help. You matter and the world needs exactly who you are.

This week is Suicide prevention week and a group of crafty friends are hosting a hop over on Instagram to help raise awareness.

Here are the deets of my card, I started with a white top folding A2 card base and a white panel.  I used the Long Lines Leaves stamps set by Kristina Warner and the sentiment is fro Impression Obsession which is no longer in business but this stamp is a classic in my stash.

To make my card, I started with a white top folding A2 card base and a white panel. I randomly stamped the leaves using Pimento, Juniper, Grapefruit, Grasshopper and Tidepool inks by Concord & 9th.
I added the gold splatter by using VersaMark ink and gold embossing powder. The greeting is cut out of gold foil paper and added to the backer which I cut out several times for dimension.

Happy Hanukkah

Welcome to day 24 of my Holiday series, 25 Days of Christmas Inspiration.  Can you believe that tomorrow s Christmas Eve? Crazy huh?
Today's card is brought to you by Concord & 9th.
I had to make a hanukkah card for my jewish friends.

To make this card, I started with a white side folding A2 card base, some yellow cardstock, and some aquamarine metallic cardstock.
I used the love and light bundle by Kristina Werner and cut the candles from the Aquamarine metallic cardstock and blended some Blueberry and Powder ink over them. For the tall candle I used all blueberry. Next I cut the flames out of yellow cardstock and used OLO markers to add a little orange. To finish the card I added the diecut sentiment and embossed the "happy" on a black strip of cardstock and embossed it with white powder.

We are over half way through and there is only 12 days until Christmas. this year has flown by so fast.

Th cardinal is by Erin Lee Creative and unfortunately is discontinued (insert sad face)
I cut all the pieces of the cardinal out of white heavystock and then ink blended the bird using Cherry Sweet and Rhodolite by Altenew. The beak, branch, black and feet I colored using OLO Markers. I added white gel pen for the eye.
I added him to the panel and then stamped the greeting which is from Christmas Blessings by Simon Says Stamp.
