Look for Rainbows

Playing with some more distress inks for the 30 day coloring challenge at The Daly Marker. To make my card I started with a white card base and panel cut A2 size. I ran the panel through a stitched die and then started blending my colors. I started with Twisted Citron at the bottom, blended in Cracked Pistachio, then Peacock Feathers followed by Blueprint Sketch and last Wilted Violet. Next I stamped the Blowing Butterfly Tree and stamped only the first part of the sentiment stamp Look for Rainbows, both from So Suzy Stamps. to finish my card I flicked a little water on the top to depict the rain.

Stripes

It's time for a new challenge at Addicted to CAS and our code word is Stripes

Our sponsor is Happy Little Stampers and they are offering a $15 gift certificate to our winner.

My card was also made for the 30 day coloring challenge at The Daily Marker. I love playing along with this challenge, although I love to color, it's hard to find the time sometimes and this challenge encourages me to relax and make the time. To make my card I started with an A2 sized card base and stamped the floral image from the Birthday Blooms set and colored it with Copic markers. I added a striped strip of DSP and some Blushing Bride glimmer paper to finish my card.

Negative Coloring

It's Day 8 of the 30 day coloring challenge at The Daily Marker. Today I am trying my hand at a technique I saw Jennifer McGuire use on her blog, negative coloring. There are many coloring mediums you can use for this technique, Watercolors, Copic markers, Distress inks pretty much any medium it's just for some like the watercoloring you will have to ask the image as I did.

To make my card I stamped the image from the Precious Poppies set from Sweet 'n Sassy stamps with Versafine Black Onyx ink and the watercolored around it leaving the image uncolored. The greeting is from the set Keep in Touch, Too.

Super Bowl Woes

We have been invited to a super bowl get together so I decided to share some handmade kindness  and make a thank you card for the hosts, they are huge Panther fans so I to use Carolina colors.
Why did I title this super bowl woes? It's because I love both teams, I have been a Bronco fan for a long time even before I moved to Colorado but living there made me a bigger fan. Carolina I have always loved since they joined the league being a sorta home town team. So who do I want to win? well I would love to see Payton go out with a win, since everyone says he will retire at the end of the year, but since I am now living in North Carolina I have to pull for the Panthers.

I used this cute Cocoa Loves Football image from Sweet n' Sassy Stamps and colored it up with Copic markers for day 7 of the 30 day coloring challenge at The Daily Marker.
