To create my card I started with a top folding white card base, a cloud stencil and a couple stamps. I stamped the kite from the Life's a Breeze set by Joy Clair and colored it using Copic markers, next I created the clouds with a stencil by My Favorite Things and to finish the card I added the greeting by So Suzy Stamps.

On to my card. I loved all the snarky stamps at Crackerbox/So Suzy but this Shoelaces one brought someone to mind and made me laugh. I paired it up with the large Betty image. I stamped the image and then masked it off to create my blended background. I used the misti to place the sentiment to I could make sure it was straight. Before Misti I threw away lots of completed cards because I stamped the greeting crooked.

Happy Birthday So Suzy

Hello and welcome to the Birthday and Anniversary hop for So Suzy and Crackerbox Stamps!

I served on the So Suzy design team for 2016 and I had so much fun with their snarky stamps and then in Jan 2017 I got to meet Suzy IRL at CHA, she is so fun!

This card actually uses four different stamps by So Suzy

To create my card I started with a Basic Gray card base and a white panel cut to 3 3/4 by 5 1/2.  I used Versafine Clair in Morning Mist and the Original MISTI to stamp the Flower Flourish over the entire panel, next I stamped both the Sm Solid Butterflies and the Lg Solid Butterflies randomly and sparingly on the panel as well. I added some dots to the butterflies with a white gel pen so they would stand out a little more. to finish the card I used the Birthday Simple and stamped it in Versamark ink and embossed it with white embossing on a Basic Gray strip and then attached it to the front of the card with foam tape.

Mirror Image Event with So Suzy and The Ton

I am back with another post. I am excited to be participating in the Mirror image event with inspiration from three design teams My Sweet Petunia, So Suzy Stamps and The Ton. This event last the entire month of February and there are lots of prizes to be won, all you have to do is visit the blogs and leave comments.

The Mirror Image stamp from So Suzy was designed especially for the MISTI, you can read the story HERE. I love this stamp because its so large, its the same size as a card front so it makes it easy to use.

My earlier post today was a bloghop celebrating Suzanne's (owner of So Suzy Stamps) birthday, so I decided to make another birthday card for her using the Mirror Image stamp. 

To make my card I started with the MISTI, a white top folding A2 card base, a piece of white card stock also cut to A2 size.  I stamped the image on the right side of the card stock as normal, then I placed the Mirror image stamp in the Misti and used the Creative Corners to help with placement.

Next I stamped the image on the Mirror Stamp and placed my card stock on top and then rubbed my fingers across it to transfer the image.

This gave me the mirror image of my image as seen here

I cut the panel down with a stitched die and colored the images with Copic markers. I used the MISTI again to add the greeting underneath. To finish the card I added a navy mat and some plaid design paper.

Happy Monday and Happy Birthday to Suzy!

When asked if I wanted to participate in this birthday bloghop for Suzy I couldn't say no. I loved being on her design team and I got to meet her in real life at Creativation (CHA) and she is just as fun and awesome. 

For my birthday card, I used one of my favorite stamps from So Suzy, Blowing Butterfly Tree. I started with a white to folding card base and some distress inks, and the Quilted Stitched Spirals cover plate from Lil' Inker Designs and of course the MISTI

To make the background I ran the front panel through the bigshot using the Quilted Stitched Spirals and then blended Peacock Feathers and Tumbled glass for the sky and Twisted Citron for the grass. Using the MISTI I double stamped the Blowing Butterfly Tree twice to get a dark image and colored some of the butterflies with Copic markers. To finish the card I used the Happy Birthday stamp also from So Suzy. What would a birthday bloghop be without presents right? so there are prizes involved to those of yu who comment on everyone's blog.

25 Days of Christmas Tags

I finally got around to making a tag for Tracey McNeely's 25 days of Christmas tags challenge. I was inspired by her tag from Day 1. 

For my tag I paired up the Blowing Snowflakes stamp from So Suzy and a greeting from CAS-ual Fridays Stamps from the Snowy Sayings set. 

The tag is from Pretty, Pink, Posh. I stamped the image and greeting in Versamark ink and embossed it in white. 

Refuge

I am up on the Sweet 'n Sassy blog today sharing this card using one of our recent sets Faith Quote Blocks.  I needed a masculine card for a friend who is fighting cancer and this set was perfect. 

To make this card, I started with a white top folding card base and a piece of plaid design paper cute down with a stitched die. I used the Mini MISTI to line up the verse on a white panel and then stamped it in Early Expresso, next I colored it in with Copic markers C4, BG72 and W1. To finish the card I added some Nuvo drops from So Suzy Stamps.

The Color of Spring

Happy Sunday!  I am up on the So Suzy blog today sharing this card using a November release The Color of Spring paired up with this gorgeous Peony and the Beech Line Leaf.
To make this card I started with a white top folding card base, a white panel cut down with a stitched die and a frame in Sweet Sugarplum.
I randomly stamped the Peony on the white panel using Blackberry Bliss and Sweet sugarplum and the Beech Line Leaf in Pear Pizzaz. I used the MISTI to stamp the sentiment because if I didn't I would totally mess up my stamped panel. I stamped a separate image of the Peony in Blackberry Bliss and fussy cut it out to add to the front, I added foam tape to it and also to the frame to give it more dimension.

To finish the card I added some wink of Stella to the Peonies. 

 

So Suzy and The Ton Collaboration Day 2

It's day 2 of the collaboration hop with So Suzy Stamps and The Ton. Not everyone on the team is participating all three days so be sure to start at Effie's blog and go from there. Be sure to comment on all the blogs for a chance to win!

for my card today I used the Holiday Bows along with the coordinating Holiday Bows dies from The Ton and Sweet Things from So Suzy

  

To make my card Started with an A2 top white folding card base. I stamped the Holiday Bow using Coastal Cabana and Bermuda Bay inks, then colored the white highlights with a couple Copic markers  BG11 & BG13. I love how realistic these bows look. For the present I wanted it to look like retro wrapping paper so I used a stencil and an old technique (shaving cream) but with a new twist (stencil). I forgot to take a before photo but all you do is put some shaving cream (not Gel) in a paper plate, flatten it out and then drop some drops of re inkers of your choice, I used Coastal cabana and Bermuda Bay here.

 Next swirl it around with a skewer or toothpick and then pick it up with a credit card or plastic card of some sort and spread it across your stencil and wipe away the excess with a paper towel.

  This dries immediately and you can do what you will with the background  stamp on it or die cut it like I did. It also makes your card smell nice as long as you didn't pick bad smelling shaving cream..lol

For my card I used a set from The Ton, Fresh Cut Poinsettias (coordinating outline) and The Merry Christmas sentiment from So Suzy Stamps and of course the Misti.

I stamped the floral images and then masked them off to add the leaves, after I finished stamping all of them I colored them with Copic Markers R24, R27, R48, YG03, and YG25. To finish the card I added some wink of Stella to give it sparkle.

Blowing Snowflake Tree Feature

Happy Thursday! 

Today we are featuring the Blowing Snowflake Tree at So Suzy Stamps.

My card uses the Blowing Snowflake tree and the Leave a Little Sparkle sentiment. To make this card I started with a rustic creme card base cut down with a stitched die, a piece of Arches clod press watercolor paper, the stamps, Zig clean Color pens, and of course my Bff Misti.

Using the MISTI, I stamped the  Blowing Snowflakes Tree with Versafine Black onyx ink several times to achieve a crisp image. Next I used Zig Real Brush pens and randomly scribbles on some color, and then spritzed with water to make them bleed.

Next I stamped the greeting, originally I was going to use Hero Arts sparkle embossing powder for it (that's why it's in the photo of supplies) but I changed my mind and also stamped it in Versafine black onyx ink as well. To finish the card I added some sequins.
