Spring is Here

Spring is finally here! Well the official day is anyway, the weather isn't cooperating yet it was 25 degrees last night ...burr

I am up on the Joy Clair blog today sharing these two cards. 

The first card uses the Easter Greetings set. To create this card I started with a white top folding card base and a Sweet Corn panel cut down a quarter of an inch smaller. For the background I randomly stamped the image of the lily bouquet to cover the entire panel using Wild Dandelion ink so it would show better. I used the oval single stitched die to cut a white piece of yardstick to use as my focal point. I used the single power image to stamp around the border of the focal piece and then added the greeting from the Spring Stroll set in the center. To finish the card I colored the flowers using Copic Markers.

To create the second card I started with a white top folding card base and a white piece of card stock. Again using the Oval single stitch die I cut out the focal panel.  I used the same Easter Greetings Set and created the background in the same way with Innocent Pink ink. For the focal panel this time I stamped the lily bouquet image also in Innocent Pink and then stamped the Happy Easter over it.

Hello Spring

It's time for another challenge at Addicted to Stamps & More and our challenge this week is Clean & Simple.

For my card I used a top folding white card base and a scrap piece of Bristol paper for the image. I stamped the wreath image from the Wreath of Roses stamp by Lil' Inkers Designs twice, the first one I die cut with the Wreath of Roses die and colored it with Copic markers, the second one I colored the flowers and fussy cut them out and placed them over the existing ones to give it more dimension, this is the paper toile technique. I cut the "hello" out of gold foil paper and added it to the center. To finish the card I used the Silly Stitched die also by Lil Inkers Designs for the border and added gold leaf to the stems.

The Color of Spring

Happy Sunday!  I am up on the So Suzy blog today sharing this card using a November release The Color of Spring paired up with this gorgeous Peony and the Beech Line Leaf.
To make this card I started with a white top folding card base, a white panel cut down with a stitched die and a frame in Sweet Sugarplum.
I randomly stamped the Peony on the white panel using Blackberry Bliss and Sweet sugarplum and the Beech Line Leaf in Pear Pizzaz. I used the MISTI to stamp the sentiment because if I didn't I would totally mess up my stamped panel. I stamped a separate image of the Peony in Blackberry Bliss and fussy cut it out to add to the front, I added foam tape to it and also to the frame to give it more dimension.

To finish the card I added some wink of Stella to the Peonies. 

 

Spring Tulips

Happy Saturday!

I'm on the Sweet 'n Sassy blog today, using the  Spring Tulips set. This set has been out of stock, but it's back in the store just in time for spring.

I am so ready for spring and it's taking its sweet time to show up where I live. I love tulips and daffodils and we bought some to plant and have to wait until after the weekend because it decided it wanted to snow this weekend, so I decided to put them on a card instead. 

To make my card, I used Zig Cleancolor markers and an aqua brush to color the image, next I masked it off and smashed a stencil in some distress ink and then placed it over my image to get the background.

Happy Spring

It's the first day of Spring and it's snowing outside, North Carolina is trying so hard to make me feel like I am still in Colorado. In Colorado I would expect snow today because its March and March and April are the snowiest months there. Even though it is cold and snowy,  I had to make a spring card. One of our pastors at church is leaving to take a senior pastor position at another church so I made this card for him and his family. I used this cute sheep from a Birdie Brown set Ewe are the Best. because he had just covered Psalm 23 taking about sheep and it was fitting.
