Happy Mother's Day

It's time for a new challenge at AAA Cards and our sponsor is Happy Little Stampers with a $20 gift card.

Mother's Day can be a day that emotions are taken from one extreme to the other. Most see this day as a happy day celebrating their moms but for me it's not such happy day as it reminds me of how much I miss my mom who I lost when I was 21 years old to breast cancer, so my card today is to honor her.
To create my card I started with a top folding card base and a stitched scalloped die by My Favorite Things. I used the Faithful Flutterings stamp set by Catherine Pooler along with her amazing inks in Party Dress and Be Mine.
The greeting is by Verve

Addicted to CAS 136

Happy Saturday!
It's time for a new challenge at Addicted to CAS, our sponsor is Happy Little Stampers and with Mother's day being tomorrow in the United States or challenge is

To create my card I started with a top folding white card base, a rose die cut by Altenew and the Mothers day greeting by The Ink Road. This card was super simple to make. Using the Original MISTI I stamped the large greeting and then added a strip of silver washi tape. To finish the card I added the rose popped up with foam tape. The rose die cut is a layering die cut and you need light, medium and dark of the same color. To achieve this I used a paint color strip from lowes, they are the perfect size and you have your three contrasts of the same color.

We have 12 new sets to share with you today.  So be sure to hop along for lots of inspiration and if you leave comments on all the DT blogs and the company blog you will be entered in to win a $25 gift card to the shop.

For my card I used the Mother's Day Love set, my oldest daughter is mother to my grandpig so this set was perfect for her Mother's day card.
To create my card I started with a white top folding card base, a strip of patterned paper and a white panel cut down with a circular die.
I stamped the image in the circle and colored it using Copic markers and stamped the greeting underneath. I added the patterned paper to the side of the card and attached the circular focal panel using foam tape to give it some dimension.

Doodle Flowers

We are having a Mother's day event over on the Joy Clair blog, There is also a giveaway for leaving comments on all the participating blogs, you have until Saturday the 21st to leave your comments. I hope you will join us.
I usually make a lot of Mothers day cards. I come from a large family so I have cards to make for my sisters and nieces but since losing my mom at a young age sending out cards to my friends who have recently lost their mother kinda became a ministry for me and helps me cope with the loss of my own mom even though it was so many years ago. Moms are special and there still isn't a day that goes by that I wish she were still here.

To create my card I started with a white top folding card base and a white panel cut down with a stitches die. I used a couple of sets, the jar of flowers is from the set Doodle Flowers and the greeting is from the Hello Sentiments set.
I stamped the images and colored them using Copic markers, I used a stencil and some distress oxide ink to create the background behind the jar.
