Doodle Flowers

We are having a Mother's day event over on the Joy Clair blog, There is also a giveaway for leaving comments on all the participating blogs, you have until Saturday the 21st to leave your comments. I hope you will join us.
I usually make a lot of Mothers day cards. I come from a large family so I have cards to make for my sisters and nieces but since losing my mom at a young age sending out cards to my friends who have recently lost their mother kinda became a ministry for me and helps me cope with the loss of my own mom even though it was so many years ago. Moms are special and there still isn't a day that goes by that I wish she were still here.

To create my card I started with a white top folding card base and a white panel cut down with a stitches die. I used a couple of sets, the jar of flowers is from the set Doodle Flowers and the greeting is from the Hello Sentiments set.
I stamped the images and colored them using Copic markers, I used a stencil and some distress oxide ink to create the background behind the jar.

  1. This is really pretty! I've always been a big fan
of a mason jar of flowers (or anything in a mason
    jar! haha).

  2. Reminds me of when I picked flowers for my grandma, she was the neatest lady!

  3. Such a pretty floral card!
    Lovely coloring!

  4. This is very beautiful the way you made the card and with those wonderful colors.

  5. Beautiful card! I love the bit of stenciling behind the jar. Lovely coloring.

  6. So pretty and colorful.
    Always love to get flowers
in a jar. these will last
    so much longer. thanks
    for sharing
