Relax

I am up on the Joy Clair blog with this card and bible journal page using one of our newest sets Shadow of The Almighty, Rinea Foils. We are collaborating all month with Rinea foils.

Can you believe it's September already! where did summer go? I decided to make a couple more summer projects before summer actually is gone.
For the card I started with a white top folding card base and a bristol panel. I have found that inks seem to blend better when I use bristol smooth cardstock.
I stamped the chair and umbrella image and then masked them off while I created the background. I used a couple of stencils to create the sun rays and the water. I used Leisure Arts markers to color the chair and Rinea Foil for the umbrella.

For the bible Journal page I used Leisure Arts premium colored pencils and Rinea Foil for the umbrella.

Celebrating Mardi Gras with Joy Clair

The design team of Joy Clair is celebrating Mardi Gras and featuring one of our new releases Unashamed.
There is lots of inspiration so be sure to start on the Joy Clair blog and hop along with us

I decided to do a bible journaling page highlighting Romans1:16. I am not ashamed of the gospel.
To create this page I stamped the masks on sticker paper and then colored them using distress ink and added some glitter to each.
I masked off the verse I wanted to highlight and blended some distress oxide inks on the page using the Life Changing Blender Brushes and then removed the tape.

BLOG HOP LIST:

Have fun hopping along!

Crazy Praise

I am back with a 3rd post for today. If you missed the other two be sure to scroll down because one is a new release hop for Technique Junkies and the stamps are fabulous and the other is a collaboration hop with Ink Blot Shop and there are prizes involved.
This post is for the March challenge at Joy Clair stamps which is an inspiration challenge, here is the photo inspiration

I was inspired by the colors for my bible journaling page. First I masked off the Verses I wanted to highlight Psalm 150:1-6 that is titled "Let Everything Praise the LORD. I used Picked Raspberry and Squeezed Lemonade and blended them randomly across my page. Next I stamped the images from the Praise the Lord set and then added some ink splatter using the Uh-Oh Ink Splatter
this set was perfect for these verses. I haven't done much bible journaling but it was fun and was a blessing so you just may see more in the future.

Sweeten your Soul

Hi there!
I am back with another guest post for Joy Clair. I love these stamps they are so versatile and can be used for both bible journaling or card making.
This week I chose to journal in my bible with the Bee Kind set. This set goes perfect with Proverbs 16:24 "Gracious words are like honeycomb, sweetness to the soul and health to the body."

To make my bible journaling page, I masked off the Proverbs 16:24 verse in my bible and then sponged on some Fossilized Amber distress ink across the entire page and removed the mask to highlight the verse. Next I used the honeycomb image and randomly stamped it in Lawn Fawn walnut ink and then stamped the two sentiments and bees from the Bee Kind set in Memento Tuxedo Black.
It's hard to see in the picture but I added some Wink of Stella on the bees wings and body to give them a shimmer. I also added some honeycomb wash tape that I found in my stash to give it more texture.

My Comforter

Happy Friday!
It's time to showcase another new release from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. This set  My Comforter is being released in our Creative Worship line as a bible journaling set but when paired up with Truth Quotes 1 it makes the perfect card for someone going through a struggle.
To make my card I started with a Crumb Cake  A2 card base and a sheet of watercolor paper.
Last Friday I took a watercolor pencil class from Sandy Allnock and learned how to use my Inktense pencils a little more. I stamped the image with Versafine Black Onyx and then colored it with the pencils and smoothed it out with water. I masked off my image and then made the background wash by putting down water and taking color from the end of the pencil.

Thanks for stopping by!

Seek Him

Happy monday!
I am so glad it is finally spring even though we had snow yesterday, I am so ready to use spring colors on my cards and hopefully get some warmer weather.

To make my card I used the Seek Him clear bible journaling set. For the background I just used some stencils with distress inks. Sweet 'n Sassy has added some amazing bible journaling sets to their line, but you do not have to be a bible journaler to use these sets. This set makes a great card to give a friend who is wresting with what to do in a circumstance. I do like the way this card turned out so I will probably  journal something similar around the Matthew 6 passage to seek His kingdom first and all else will be added.

I am entering this one over at CAS on Sunday for their stencil challenge.

Songs of Praise

Well this card was supposed to post to my blog yesterday, and I totally hit save instead of publish and just realized it. It was up on the Sweet 'n Sassy blog so some of you may have already seen it.
I made this card using a Bible Journaling stamp, so if you aren't into bible journaling then this goes to show you can still use them to make some cute cards. This particular set Songs of Praise is inspired by the worship song Come Thou Fount, one of my favorites.
This card was easy to make most of it is simple stamping and then I paper pieced the bird.

here is the set I used

Creative Worship

Last week we announced our exciting new brand, Creative Worship Bible journaling stamps! Today we are thrilled to offer you our very first Bible journaling kit available while supplies last!
The design team has teamed up to bring you a blog hop using these stamps in many different ways, cards, bookmarks and of course Bible journaling.

I got a new Journaling Bible for Christmas so I chose to do some journaling in it

The first  page uses the newest sets from the Lovin' God's word Journaling kit,  Decorative Banners and His Book and a couple older sets  Message of Hope and Worship the Lord (currently out of stock). I used some colored pencils to color the images and then added some pan pastels as well.

The second page uses the Decorative Banners and His Book, along with Worship The Lord (out of stock) and Message of Hope again. This time I stamped the holy with colored ink and then watercolored the others. I added the handwritten "almighty". I used a stencil and some Pan Pastels for my background.

Do you Bible journal or want to start? You should join our new Facebook Creative Worship Bible Journaling for ideas and inspiration.

I am excited about this new line of stamps, here are the ones I used on my pages

Make sure to stop by the all the DT members blogs to get some gorgeous inspiration!
