Craft Roulette #210

This week's episode of Craft Roulette was a real challenge for me. This is not my normal card style but it was the only thing I could come up with last minute with a sick puppy.
The parameters were...
Project: Must include action - The flower has a wobble underneath.
Colors: Northern Lights - The patterned paper has northern light colors.
Element: Blackboard(s) - The black paper is  old blackboard paper by SU.
Random: Oval - used an oval die for the blackboard paper.

To make this card, I started with a white top folding A2 card base, patterned paper and a blackboard cardstock.
I found this chalkboard cardstock when moving rooms, I had no idea what I used it for before.

The stamp set I used is an older one that Hero Arts paired up with Reverse Confetti.
I stamped the floral image with embossing ink and then embossed it with colored embossing powders. The flower I stamped with reactive ink and cut it out with the coordinating die. I placed a wobble under the flower for "action".
To finish the card, I stamped the sentiment, fussy cut it out and then added it to the front.

A Happy Hello

Hello crafty friends, Thanks for stopping by!
Today I am sharing another card using the April release by The Rabbit Hole Designs.
To make this card, I started with a white top folding A2 card base, a white panel and a layering stencil which also comes with a coordinating die.
Using the white panel and the layering stencil, I created the floral background and then cut it down 2.5 inches and then adhered it to the base. I added a green strip and used the die cut to cut out a flower from the piece that I cut off.
To make the card more fun i added a mini wobble behind the flower.

Absolutely Ribbiting!

Today starts another biweekly challenge at Addicted to Stamps & More.
Our challenge for the next two weeks is to make your mark. This doesn't necessarily mean you have to use markers, you can use any coloring medium you'd like.

To make my card, I started with a white top folding A2 card base. I created a background for tthe frog by using a stencil. I stamped the image on a seperate piece of cardstock, colored it using OLO markers and then fussy cut it out. To finish the card, I added a sentiment and popped up the image using foam tape.

Channeling My Inner Jaycee

I am up on the My Sweet Petunia blog today channeling my inner Jaycee Gasper.
I watched a live with Jennifer and Jaycee using this die set and I just had to order it, it's so beautiful. I went back and watched the replay and crafted along with them. Jaycee has a way with ink blending like no other. I love how you get the colors with ink blending rather than colored cardstock. I am a fan!

To make this card, I started with a white to folding A2 card base and a piece of white cardstock for the die cuts. I placed a Sticky Mat in the Original Misti to hold the die cut pieces as I ink blended. I didn't have the ink colors that they used on the live so I substituted distress inks. After I got all the pieces ink blended, I cut the outline pieces of the flowers and leaves out of goil foil paper.

The outlines pieces to the flowers are very thin and delicate but they were so easy to add with the Precision Glue Press

To finish the card, I added the thanks sentiment cut twice out of white for dimension and glued it to a gold backer.

Another trip Around The Sun

Hello Crafty friends!
I am back with another card for our current Stay Crafty challenge over on A Blog Named Hero. Our challenge for the month of April is Happy Anniversary, which doesn't necessarily mean wedding anniversary. For my card this time I am celebrating another trip around the sun.

To make this card, I started with a white top folding A2 card base and a white panel. I cut the floral wreath out of the white panel and then colored it using OLO markers. I attached it to the base using the Precision Glue Press which is a game changer especially when there are fine areas of a die cut that needs glue. To finish the card I added a sentiment also from Hero Arts. All products are linked below.
