Cube & Create - April Edition

Today's second post is for the Cube & Create Insta Hop.  This hop is where a group of use create cards with inspiration from Sarah Renee Clarks Color Cubes. Each moth cards are randomly pulled and we chose one or both of them as our inspiration.
My card was inspired by the colors on the card No. 745 from the new cubes. I needed a masculine birthday card and these colors were right on target.  The colors I used are Capri, Evergreen and Midnight from Concord & 9th, Blue Raspberry from Gina K designs and Summer Sunrise from Papertrey Ink.
To create this card, I started with a white top folding card base and a white panel. I cut strips in different sizes from the colors and added them to the white panel. Next I cut out balloons with a die from The Stamp Market and stamped and embossed the greetings also from a set by The Stamp Market directly on the balloons.

Rediscover Your Supplies - April Edition

Happy Saturday!
Today I have to posts for you this one being the first.  This card is for the Rediscover Your Supplies Insta hop. This hop encourages us to create with those supplies that we have been neglecting or have not even used yet that are tucked away in our studios. Each month there is a theme and this month it is sympathy. Unfortunately as I am getting older I am in need of more sympathy cards.
To make this card, I started with a white top folding card base and a white panel for the leafy image.  I stamped the leafy image on the white panel and used layering stencils to color it. I used the coordinating die to cut it out and popped it up on the card base.
the sentiment is also from a set by Pinkfresh Studio.

Team Tuesday with My Sweet Petunia on A Thursday

I am up on th My Sweet Petunia blog today sharing this card.

With Mother’s Day being right around the corner I am working on the many cards I send out for that day. Mother’s Day can be a hard day for some, and it was and still is for me. I lost my mom at a very young age and since I became a card maker is had been a ministry of mine to send out Mother’s Day cards to those whom I know it is there first Mother’s Day without their mom, because that day is so hard, and I want them to know that they are being thought of and prayer for.

To make this card, I started with a white top folding A2 card base. I created the background by using a die cut to create a stencil and ink blended directly on the card base. Next, I cut the flowers and leaves out of white cardstock placed them on a Sticky Mat, placed that on a Petunia Platform and held it down with two Power Mags as I ink blended color over the die cuts. I removed the die cuts and added them along the bottom of the arched background on the card base. To finish the card, I placed the base in a MINI MISTI and added the sentiment.

Today's card is for the postage party Instagram hop.  This is a hop where a group of crafty friends host a hop that uses a specific theme along with postage stamps/stencils/dies. The theme for this month was restrictive. we could not use white, black or any shade of them like cream or gray.
let me tell ya, this was a challenge. I finally got a card done but it took a minute to come up with an idea.
To make this card, I started with a Powder side folding A2 card base and a Powder panel cut down with a postage die by Waffle Flower.  I used the butterfly postage collage stencil also by Waffle Flower along with Hydrangea, Rubellite and Mystic Lake inks by Altenew. The greeting is by Taylored Expressions.

Clean & Simple Instahop April Edition

Today's card is for a monthly Clean and Simple Instahop that I participate in. Each month there is a different theme and this month is slimline.
It can be a mini slim or regular slimline. I choose mini slim because I took the easy way out and used a mini slim panel by Taylored Expressions, all I had to do was color it and stamp a greeting.
