Christmas in July - Day 10

It's Day 10 of the Christmas in July Instagram hop and the theme is Monochromatic.  

To make this card, I started with a white top folding A2 card base, a tidepool panel and a piece of white cardstock for the image. I stamped the cocoa cup image by Pink & Main, colored it using OLO markers and cut it out with the coordinating die. I stamped the Hand Drawn Snowflakes background on the panel of tidepool using Tidepool ink for tone on tone. 

To finish the card I added a greeting from an older Hero Arts set, Cozy Penguin. 

Sending Sunshine July Edition

Today's first card (will have the Christmas one later tonight) is for a instagram hop that I participate in each month, Sending Sunshine.

This hop is one that came from the annual suicide awareness hop that we do.

For my card, I started with a white top folding A2 card base and a panel of water friendly heavystock. I used stamps from Impression Obsession stamps which  has since gone out of business (insert sad face, I miss them). To create the foral background I used a cling stamp and colored the image using water based markers and the spritzed it with water and stamped it on the heavystoc. To finish the card, I added the greeting.

Christmas in July - Day 9

The theme for Day 9 in the Christmas in July Insta hop is stencils or scraps. I chose stencils and used the die/stencil set "Whispers of Poinsettia by Pinkfresh Studio.The sentiment is also by Pinkfresh Studio. 

Clean & Simple Imsta Hop - July Edition

Today's first card is for a  clean and simple insta hop where a group of cardmakers share a CAS card using a theme. This months theme is Celebration. It can be any type of celebration. I chose birthday and I am sending this one to my friend who loves daisies and purple. 

To make this card, I stared with a white top folding A2 card base, a white panel cut down with a stitched die, a piece of white cardstock and purple cardstock. 

I stamped the wreath image, colored it using OLO markers and cut it out with the coordinating die.  I stamped the greeting tone on tone and added it to the center of the wreath. 

Christmas in July - Day 8

For Day 8 of the Christmas in July hop the theme is Under the Tree. Kitty cats get under a tree right? we don't have cats because my husband and children are allergic  but I have some friends that their cats get in tree and they have to put up a little fence around it to keep them out. 

To make this card, I stamped the image from Ink Blot Shop and colored it using OLO markers.  I added some gold accents with a metallic gold marker.  To finish the card, I stamped the greeting on a seperate piece of cardstock and cut it out. 

Christmas In July - Day 7

Today's card serves two purposes, one for the Christmas in July Instagram hop where the theme is Festive Critters. I would say this moose is pretty festive. 

The second purpose is for the Addicted to Stamps & More challenge 521 that started today. 

To make this card, I started with a white top folding card base and a white panel cut to the same size.  I created a snowy backdrop by using post it notes to mask off the bottom portion of the panel as I ink blended some Wilted Violet and Salvaged Patina. I stamped the moose on a seperate piece of white cardstock , colored him using OLO markers and then cut him out with the coordinating die. I also cut three more of him and glued them together to add dimension. 

Christms In July - Day 6

Today's theme in the Christmas in July Instashop is another choice of Ugly Sweater or Lots of Layers.

For this card, I tried to make it resemble an Ugly Sweater. I started with a white top folding A2 card base, a white panel, patterned paper, dragonfruit cardstock and chunky glitter paper. 

I cut dowe the patterned paper which looks like a pattern of an ugly sweater a quater of an inch smaller than the base. I cut the merry word die out twice, once out of dragonfruit cardstock and once out of chunky white glitter paper and added it to the card front. 

Christmas in July - Day 5

For day 5 of the Christmas in July Instashop we had a choice of Santa or Elves or both as a theme. As you can see I chose an elf. This card was so fun to make. I started with a white A2 card base, some patterned paper, red cardstock, white glitter paper and a white panel. I cut the elf from Hero Arts out of the white cardstock and then colored him using OLO markers. I created a present by using patterned paper and a strip of red cardstock or the top. I cut the ribbon and bow from The Greetery out of the white glitter paper and added it to the preset I created. I tucked the elf at the edge of the box as he is peeking around the present. To finish the card, I stamped the greeting which is from Creative Worship Stamps.

Today starts a new challenge at AA A Cards. It's time to follow Marlies. Her sample is below 

For my card I flipped my base to a vertical base and went along the side with a floral image from Tim Holtz. I added a encouraging sentiment as this one is going to a friend who is going through a rough time. 

Christmas In July - Day 4

Day four of the Christmas in July Insta hop brings a theme of sleigh. It's not Christmas without Santa's sleigh right?

To make this card, I started with a white top folding A2 card base and a white panel cut to the sane size. I created a snowy background by using a die cut as a stencil. I stamped the sleigh, colored it using OLO markers along with a gold metallic marker and then cut it out with the coordinating die. To finish the card I added a line to separate the background by using a silver metallic marker and then stamped the greeting above.
