Caroling Christmas Cards January Edition

Today's card is for another hop over on Instagram. This one is where a group of card makers get together and host a Christmas card hop. Each month we are given two songs for inspiration. This month was "snow" and "Where are you Christmas" I tied them both into my card. I used snow of course and then I used non traditional colors that could make you ask, where are you Christmas.

To make this card, I started with a white top folding A2 base and a white panel cut to the same size. I ink blended a border of rainbow colors and then added the snow flake border cut out of white cardstock. For the greeting I embossed it with gold embossing powder for the "bright" aspect of the card.

Clean & Simple January Edition

Today's card is for a new insta hop that I ran across. It's a Clean & Simple hop where a group of card makers participate in a hop over on Instagram using a theme. For January the theme was blues. You could use the color or anyway you are inspired by the word. I used the color but also I went with the winter blues.
To make this card, I started with a white top folding A2 card base and a white panel which I cut down with a stitched oval die for the image.

Serene Season

Today's card is for the Cube and Create hop over on Instagram.  This hop is where a group of makers use the Color Cubes by Sarah Renea Clark to inspire our projects.

Each month two cards are drawn from the cubes for inspiration. This month No. 058 and No. 322 from Original cube and No. 228 and No. 005 from the new edition were pulled. My card is inspired by the colors from the 005.

Postage Party - December Edition + Christmas Series Day 1

Today I am participating in the Postage Party Insta hop over on Instagram. This month we were to embellish. I used some enamel stickers by Concord & 9th to do that. The little hearts on the houses, snowflake and gingerbread man and I added some dots on the tree. I also added a little shimmer to the snow on the houses but its hard to see in the photograph.
To finish the card, I added an embossed sentiment also by Waffle Flower.

This one is for Day 4 of my Christmas series.

Team Tuesday is back

We took break from Team Tuesday while things were changing BTS. I am sharing this card today on the My Sweet Petunia blog.

To make this card, I started with a white A2 card base and a panel of white distress heavy stock. I created a background by placing the white heavy stock on a regular sized sticky mat and ink blended with some VersaFine Clair ink in Warm Breeze and Blue Belle. I used some white acrylic paint and splattered over the blended background.

I placed the cardstock on a mini sticky mat then using the MISTI Lite I stamped the snowman image, colored it using OLO markers and cut it out with the coordinating dies.  The sentiment was also stamped with the Misti Lite and cut out with the coordinating die.  When you use a sticky mat to hold your cardstock while you stamp with the MISTI Lite it's perfect every time.
The Stamp and coordinating die set is by Trinity Stamps.

This is day 3 of my Christmas series. I am trying to tie my series in with DT obligations.

Sending Some Holiday Sunshine

Todays card is for the Sending Sunshine Instagram hop. This is a hop that some of us crafters participate in as a spinoff from the Suicide Awareness hop. We send some sunshine aka handmade cards monthly instead of just once a year.
This month I am sending a little holiday sunshine. There are many of us, myself included that the holidays isn't necessarily a happy time for whatever reason. We lost my father in law back at the end of September and this was the last parent and its hard. The holidays always bring back memories of those we lost. If you need to talk to someone I hope you will reach out.

To make this card, I started with a white top folding A2 card base and a midnight panel. I ran the panel through the die cutting machine using a 3D embossing folder from Simon Says stamp. The ribbon die is by Kristina Werner for C9 and the sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp.

This is also Day 1 of my Christmas Series and this year it is only 5 days because grief is hard, hopefully I can make 5.
