Hello

It is time for a new challenge at Addicted to CAS.  Sue is our hostess and she chose the code word Texture.

To create my card I started with a white top folding card base, a white panel, and a black panel for the mat.
I used the some distress inks,  Winter Leaves stencil by Erin Lee Creative and the Life Changing Blender Brushes by Picket Fence Studios. After I got the ink blended then I used some of the new Iridescent Glitter Glitz Gel by Gina K Designs over it to create the texture.
To finish the card I added the Hello die and cut it out three times and glued it together to create more texture and definition.

Virtual Stamp Night

Since we or most of us are sheltering in place, it's a perfect time for VSN over at Splitcoaststampers. I have not played along with the VSN challenges in a while so it is fun to play along again and get some cards made to send out to hospital workers to let them know they are being thought of and prayed for.
The theme for the VSN is Floral Palooza so it is right up my ally, I love floral images.

To create my card I started with a top folding white card base and a white panel. I placed the panel in the Misti and stamped the tulip from the Early Tulip Bouquet set with fadeout ink by Ink on 3 several times to get it dark enough for my old eyes lol. I colored them using Copic markers and added some details with Poloychromos pencils. This card is going to some hospital workers so I added a thank you greeting. I could not imagine how scary it is to work at a hospital right now so a group of us are making cards to let them know they are being thought of and prayed for.

Hey Gorgeous

I am up on the Ink on 3 blog today with this card featuring our newest set, Hey Gorgeous

To create my card I started with a top folding white card base and a white panel. I stamped the image using Blackout ink and then colored her using Copic markers. I masked her off except the hat and then used a stencil to create the flower pattern. I stamped a flower also from the Hey Gorgeous set, fussy cut it out and added it to the hat. To finish the card and tie in the pink I added a pink dress/shirt to her.
This is for day 26 of the 30 day coloring challenge and I can't believe I have played along every day. thanks to the sheltering in place I guess lol.

I also wanted to let my blog readers know if you are not following me on Instagram that I am having a birthday giveaway over on my Instagram account @cealp. You are welcome to come follow me there for a chance to win, I will be giving away 7 different prizes.

He is With Us

I am up on the Picket Fence Studios blog today with this card featuring the Swim In The Sea set. Everything is so chaotic with the Covid-19 virus that I am sending out as many encouragement cards as I can because we all need a little encouragement  right now.

To create this card I started with a white top folding card base and a bristol panel, I have found that ink blends really well using the Life Changing Blender Brushes and Bristol card stock.
I started by blending Peacock Feathers and Salty Ocean distress oxide inks with the  Life Changing Blender Brushes and a little water to create my background.  Next I stamped the water bubbles from the set A Bottomless Sea with embossing ink and embossed it with Under The Sea embossing glitter by WOW embossing. They are so sparkly here is an up close photo

I stamped the sea turtles from the Swim in the Sea set, colored them using Copic markers and then cut them out with the Coordinating dies.  These sea turtles remind me of Squirt and his dad in the Finding Nemo movie I love them!
To finish my card I added a sentiment from the A Bottomless Sea set that is so encouraging and reminds us that no matter what we are going through we are never alone God is alway with His children.

Beachy Hello

Hello and thanks for stopping by, my card share for today uses  the Wentletrap Shell Scene one of our are release sets by Picket Fence Studios. I stamped the image using Wild Lilac ink and colored it using Copic markers. I used the coordinating die to cut it out.
For the background I used the new Mermaid Scales stencil along with some Paper Glaze.  I mixed the Cornflower Blue with the Ocean Poppy to achieve this deep teal.
I used the Hello Word die, cutting the hello out of purple glitter paper and the backing out of vellum and added it near the bottom. To finish the card I added a few sequins.

Art Nudge

Happy Sunday!
Today I am sharing a card that I created for a new facebook challenge Art Nudge.  I am not sure if this is a group you can join off hand, but if you're a crafter and want to join you can request it is needed. How it works is each week Jeanne will post a new inspiration picture and you create any type of art inspired by it. It doesn't have to be a card.

To create my card I started with a white top folding card base and a white panel.  I stamped the daisies from the Daisy Bouquet set by Simon Says Stamp using Fadeout ink by Ink on 3. I colored the daisies using Copic markers in Y0000, Y13, and Y18. I used C1 as a shadow and YG25 for the stems. I also used colored pencils as well but forgot to write down the colors.
For the background I used B95 and colored the entire background. I used a technique that I learned from Kathy Racoosin to create the texture for the background, a piece of terry cloth and the copic blender refill. Put some blender solution on the terry cloth and dab (leaving it down just a second) over your background. This gives it a really cool effect
What was really cool is when I went turned the panel over to add glue to it, it was so unique that it made me want to create another just for the opposite side. I added a picture f it below, isn't it cool?

30 Day Coloring Challenge

Hello and thanks for stopping by.

Today I am sharing a couple cards that I created for the The Daily Markers 30 day coloring challenge. Both of these cards are shared on my Instagram page and I thought I would share them here as well. In case you don't follow me on Instagram my account there is @cealp. and I will be holding a couple of giveaways there soon, so be sure to follow me there.

Since it is officially spring I have been making spring cards.
My First card using a Brutus Monroe set, Love You Florals. To create this card I started with a white top folding card base, a black panel and a white panel for the image. I stamped the florals with a Copic friendly ink and colored them with Copic markers. The greeting is by Tailored Expressions out of one of the Simple Strips sets.

The second card uses the Meadow Blossoms and Brushed Strip Background  by Concord & 9th. As you can probably tell I LOVE these two sets because I have used them both quite a bit, they just pair up so nicely.

Hi

I am back sharing another card made with the new release by Erin Lee Creative.  This one uses the Floral Sketch Alpha, a gorgeous alpha set that could be used for stationery, scrapbook title and more.
For my card I used it as a greeting by highlighting the H and I.I started with a Blue Raspberry card base and a white panel cut 3 3/4 x 5 1/2. On the panel in the MISTI and then lined up the the letters A through L and stamped them with Copic friendly ink. Next I highlighted the "Hi" to do this I not only colored them darker but I stamped the two letters several times o a piece of cardstock and then cut them out with the ScanNcut and stacked them together and placed them on the card so they would have dimension over the other letters.
