To make my card I started with a white side folding card base and a watercolor panel. I stamped the image with Fadeout ink and then watercolored it using Daniel Smith and Iuile watercolors.

Create Your Own Peace

I am up on the Picket Fence Studios blog today with this zen card using some of the new slimline inserts.

To create this card I started with a white slimline card base and a panel of white heavystock cut down with the SLDCS Nested Rectangles.  I cut out the Tree Insert in the center of the panel and then cut out the Mushroom Insert on both sides.  I watercolored all three using Daniel Smith watercolors and added the dots to the mushroom by using a gel pen.  To finish the card I added a sentiment from the Early Tulips set. 

Coffee or Tea

Happy Monday!It's time for a new challenge at Make the Cards Challenge.  This week we have a theme challenge for you. 

To create my card I started with a top folding white card base and a white panel. 

Using the Wreath stencil and Bundled Sage distress ink I created a background. 

I dut the coffee cup out of watercolor paper,  watercolored it using Daniel Smith watercolors and then added it to the card. The sentiment is from the Small Script 2 set.

Field Notes

Today's card share is for the Dare to Get Dirty challenges at Splitcoast Stampers.

I absolutely love the Field Notes kit that Lori Craig designed for Tailored Expressions.  I especially love this particular image, I am saying it's a coneflower. 

To create this card I started with white card base, a bristol panel and a piece of watercolor paper. I stamped the coneflower on the watercolor paper and colored it using Daniel Smith watercolors. I used a postage stamp die and cut the bristol panel and added a watercolor wash for the background and added the greeting.

Count Your Rainbows

Sharing on last card for the 30 day coloring challenge. Yall I made a card for everyday! I think this is only the second time I have done this, the first being the very first one. 

Right now we all need to count our rainbows and not our thunderstorms. Everyone's anxiety levels are high and we all need a little more grace than normal. Go is goo and this Covid 19 hasn't taken Him by surprise so lets all follow the recommendations, stay home and see what God has in store for each of us.  He is he giver of rainbows 

My card uses the newest Simon Says stamp card kit, Follow the Rainbows.

I love all things rainbow so I had to get this kit and it did not disappoint! you should see the papers!

Now for the deets on my cards. 

The first one I started with a side folding white card base an a piece of cold pressed watercolor paper. I placed the paper in the MISTI because I always use the MIST everytime I make a and even more so when stamping on a textured paper like watercolor paper. I stamped the Framed Sunflower using Warm Glow Amalgam ink by Gina K Designs. I love the Amalgam inks because you can use water, copic or pencils to color the image. I used Daniel Smith watercolors on this one. To finish the card I stamped a greeting from the Wreath Wishes set and then added the Gold pin stripe peel offs around the image by Love from Lizi

For the second card, I started with a white top folding card base and a panel of watercolor paper. I stamped the Echinacea also with Warm Glow Amalgam ink  and used Daniel Smith watercolors to color it as well. The greeting on this one is a single sentiment Just for You. I used the Cut-Align to cut down the strip after I heat embossed the greeting.

Team Tuesday

Happy Tuesday! or Wednesday because this post didn't post on my blog for some reason and I was at a retreat having a blast, but it did post on the My Sweet Petunia Blog when it was supposed to, so here's my original post.
I am up on the My Sweet Petunia blog today sharing this card for my Team Tuesday post.  Before the MISTI came into my stamping world I would not buy layering stamps, I had tried them and no matter how I tried I always messed up when stamping them. The MISTI has solved that problem, there are so many gorgeous layering stamps like the Garden Hydrangea that I would have missed out on if I didn't have the MISTI.

Tic Tac Toe with The Ton

Happy Wednesday! 

My card today is for the Tic Tac Toe challenge at The Ton. 

You are to use three in a row any direction, I used straight down the right hand side, Gold (ribbon) Stripes and Watercolor.

To make my card I used a piece of cold press watercolor paper, MISTI, striped patterned paper and Daniel Smith watercolor paints

Using the MISTI I stamped the floral image with Versafine Black Onyx ink site a few times because of the texture of watercolor paper I never get a crisp image the first time, so thankful I have a MISTI to help me out.

I used Daniel Smith watercolor paint to color the image, I am so in love with these paints they are fabulous! Next I added some striped patterned paper t a white top folding card base and fussy cut the image out and popped it up midway on the card.
