Late card share again for the 30 day coloring challenge at The Daily Marker. This card uses a floral stamp from Hero Arts that was given to me at Creativation and a large Thanks stamp by Honey Bee Stamps.
To make the card I used a white top folding card base and a watercolor paper panel cut down with a stitched die.
I stamped the floral image in Versamark ink and heat embossed it in white. This stamp is on a wood block so I used the Creative Corners from My Sweet Petunia to help me get a good impression, because of the texture of watercolor paper.  I used Zig Cleancolor Realbrush pens to watercolor it. Next I attempted the "smoosh" technique with distress inks. As you can see my feeble attempt,  smooshing did not come easy for me. I need lots of practice. Using the Original MISTI I added the large thanks using raven ink by Brutus Monroe, I literally had to overstamp this sentiment 10 times to get a good impression. I ended up embossing it with black embossing powder to give it a shine.

I am entering this one in a couple water color challenges

  1. Hi Ceal, I am so pleased you got to join in our 1st birthday celebration at CAS Mix Up. I thought your soft smooshed background was so pretty and let your beautiful flower be the main focus of your card. TFS my friend. Hugs..

P.S. Smooshing was hard for me at 1st too, but after watching Loll's video several times and Laura's acrylic smooshing video they really helped.

  2. Thanks for linking up your beautiful watercoloured flower card to CAS Watercolour also, Ceal. Hugs...

  3. Gorgeous card Ceal. The flower is so bright ... zigs always give great colours. Love it done with the white embossing. Your smooshed background turned out great ... lots of visual texture. Thanks for sharing with us at CAS Mix Up and CAS Watercolour!

  4. Beautiful card...amazing coloring!! :)

  5. What a beautiful flower, Ceal! Your smooshing looks fine to me. It took me a lot of tries before I was comfortable with this technique. Now I love it! Thanks so much for sharing this with us at CAS Watercolour and CAS Mix Up!

  6. Wow that flower is colored so amazingly! Love the background technique! Thanks for playing with us at the CAS Watercolor challenge.

Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment, they always bring a smile
