Thankful for you

My second post for today is sharing my submission to episode 198 of Craft Roulette. The parameters seemed like it would be a hard card to make but it came together pretty easy, it's just not really my style.  

The four parameters

Project: Spanner card

Colors: Butterfly

Element: Centerpiece

Random: Dial

Those parameters are drunk right? first off I had no idea what a spanner card was. There is actually a card design for this but I went with an alternative, the sentiment spans (spanner) across the entire card. 

The "butterfly colors" were easy because I went with the colors of a monarch butterfly. The "centerpiece" was easy also using a floral stamp by Wplus9 as the centerpiece. When it came to dial, I had to put my thinking cap on. With the help of the chatterbox I used a pocket watch which has a dial. 

For the background I used a script stamp on some handmade watercolor paper from the January MMH kit. 

The images I used are from a Wplus9 set that is no longer but a favorite, but you could use any floral.

Beyond the Blue 63 - Flowers

It's time for a new challenge at Beyond The Blue and its really simple. I hope you will play along with us. Just make a project using flowers any type thats it. 

To create my card, I started with a top folding kraft card base and a white panel. I stamped the image from a Wplus9 set linked below and colored it using Copic markers.

Vintage Valentine

I am up on the My Sweet Petunia company blog sharing this card. which is also for Day 7 of my Valentine series. 

 

As I said in one of my earlier posts for this series, I don't see valentines day as a day just for couples I  see is as a day to show someone, anyone you love them. So that is why I am calling this card a vintage valentine. 

To create this card I started with a watercolor paper card base and a panel of watercolor paper. I placed the card base in the Original Misti and stamped script  using Old Gold ink. I also added some splatter stamped with Old Gold as well.

 I stamped the floral and butterfly images with Versafine Nocturne ink on the watercolor panel and painted  them using Daniel Smith watercolors. Next I cut them out using the coordinating dies. I inked around the edges of the sentiment with Old Gold as well to tie it in.

Make The Cards Challenge - A Sketch

Happy Monday and Happy March!

It's my birthday month so stay tuned and watch for a giveaway sometime this month. 

Today we have a new challenge over at Make The Cards Challenge and it's a sketch below.

To create my card I started with a top folding hite card base and this gorgeous floral stamp by Simon Says Stamp. I stamped the ink in a very light gray by Wplus9 and then colored it with Graph-it alcohol markers. 

I stamped the greeting in black and then embossed it with clear powder.

WPlus Love

We at My Sweet Petunia are showing Wplus9 some love with a blog hop showcasing some of her products. Now for the deets on my card.I started with a white top folding card base and a piece of bristol cardstock. I stamped the floral image on the bristol, colored it using Karin markers and then cut it out with the coordinating die. I created a background by using the Life Changing Blender Brushes by Picket Fence Studios and the Sassy Stripes stencil by Gina K Designs. To finish the card I added some white gel pen highlights to the flowers.
During these times I am trying to support small crafty businesses when I am able and Wplus9 is definitely a small crafty business with lots of amazing Products. I hope you will support her as well.

30 Day Coloring Challenge Day 10

Another late night card share for the 30 Day coloring challenge at The Daily Marker. 

For this card I used one of my favorite newer sets from Stampin Up, Beautiful You. I love all the images in this set and it has some great sentiment as well.

To make this card I started with a white top folding card base, a watercolor panel and some plaid designer paper by Lawn Fawn. I stamped the image on the watercolor paper and then used the new watercolor pencils by Stampin Up to color it in with an aqua brush. I used a die from Wplus9 to cut down my panel and give me the scalloped edge.  I covered the base with the plaid paper and added the panel with foam tape to give it more dimension. 

I am entering this one over at CAS on Sundays for their Umbrella  challenge.

My card today is another one for the card drive for the victims families in Orlando. I made a Wish...

It' time for a new challenge at Addicted to CAS and our host Carolyn has chosen the code word as Midnight.

The prize for this challenge is a $12 gift card from our sponsor

To make my card I started with a white panel and used a brayer to achieve my midnight sky. I started with Tempting Turquoise ,then layered on Night of Navy and Blackberry Bliss. I stamped the large star in Versamark ink and embossed it with white embossing powder. For the smaller stars I used a white gel pen. I stamped the bunny images with Memento ink on a scrap piece of paper and fussy cut them out and placed them on my panel. I also embossed the greeting in white as well. 

Rain

This should have totally posted while I was in Utah but didn't, I wasn't online much and did't notice until now 

It is my turn to host the challenge at Addicted to CAS and I chose the code word Rain, because it seems to rain a lot here in North Carolina, I wasn't use to much rain in Colorado. Our sponsor this week is Stamplorations with a $10 voucher to their store 

To make my card, I used this cute set from WPlus9 "Love Showers" along with the matching die. I cut the umbrella out of the awesome plaid paper from Lawn Fawn and the love out of watercolor paper and painted it with Koi watercolors

Red

My card share today is for the Tic Tac Toe challenge at CAS-ual Fridays and uses several supplies from different companies. For the challenge I opted to go straight down the right side with stenciling, die cutting, and embossing. I started with the Lace stencil from Tim Holtz and some real Red ink from Stampin Up. The Happy die cut is from Wplus9 along with the word birthday which I embossed in black. I finished the card by stamping a flower from the Loving Thoughts set, embossed in white on real Red cardstock. I cut it down a little to fit my banner.

I finally decided to join Stamp Nation and this is also for a challenge over there as well

Get Sketchy

Happy Monday!  Today I am playing with some Wplus9 and Inktense Pencils. To create my card I made my own background paper using the Doodle Buds set from Wplus9 and colored it with Inktense pencils. I used a die from Sugar Pea designs to stamp the greeting on. A little strip of paper from Lawn fawn matched the Watermelon Wonder cardstock perfectly.
