Calling All Sistah's

I have been playing along with the Hope You Can Cling To challenges over at Splitcoasrstampers. If you don't know what it is, it's a huge card drive to send tons of cards to women who are fighting breast cancer at MD Anderson down in Houston, TX. This hold a special place in my heart because I have lost friends and my mom to breast cancer. Also my friend Michele, who owns CAS-ual Fridays stamps found out a couple months ago she has it, but caught it early. The key to that is self detection and f course mammograms. so Michele is calling All Sistahs to do a self check on the 17th of each month, starting today. You can find her challenge and story HERE.

Getting Dirty

Just a side note to be prepared to see lots of cards this week, I am a fan club member at Splitcoast Stamps and this week is Dare to get Dirty challenges. I am trying to combine as much as I can with other challenges so it's a win win. 

If you are not a fan club member, you should consider joining so you can play along. There are lots of prizes to be had.

To make this one I inked up some Paper Smooches and colored it with Copic markers.

Today I am playing with some Paper Smooches, this is an older set, but still one of my favorites. Today is Day 21 of the 30 day coloring challenge at The Daily Marker. I am also entering this one at Less is More where the challenge is to CASE a DT member. I decided to CASE Anne because I loved her doodled border. 

Pretty Pink Balloons

Sharing some Paper Smooches on this card I made for one of the Hope You Can Cling To Challenges at Splitcoast Stampers. The challenge is Pretty Pink Balloons. 

I am also entering this one in the vellum challenge at Addicted to CAS since I used vellum on two of my balloons

Finishing Touches

Still running behind on my posting for OCC.  Today we learned to use "finishing touches" there are several different ways, but I chose to transform my image by adding my own "lines" to the image. I used the Blossoming Buds set from Paper Smooches and it you look at it, my flowers look nothing like the flowers in the image because I added my own lines/doodles to them and transformed the image. Because I doodled in my flowers I felt like a doodled border around it was fitting.

I used some stencils and sponged Real Red for the stripes and Pacific Point for the blue and used a cream base. The Thanks is a die from Paper Smooches

This week is Anything Goes so no excuses not to play along. The stamp I used is from Paper smooches Swanky Snowdudes...well I made her a dudette. I used a gold leaf pen to go around the edges of all my pieces including my base.

sorry for the late post just ealized it did not post :(

 

 It's Thursday and that means it's my day to share with a card with you using stamps you can find at Loves Rubberstamps. This week I am using a set from Paper Smooches along with number Die-namics and the paper is new Love Letters Bo Bunny paper.
I made this card for a sweet couple at church who are celebrating 60 years of marriage! Wow what a blessing.
