Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's day to all you dads out there and a very Happy Fathers Day to the single moms who are filling both the mom and the dad role. 

Today I am sharing the card I made for my husband.

 This Dad's Day set was released back in May but I held out on inking it up until now so I could use it for the hubs card. 

To create this card I started with a white card base, a black panel and a Bristol panel. I stamped the burger image using Fadeout ink by Ink on 3 and colored it using Karin markers. This was super fun to color and I love how realistic it looks.

Happy Fathers Day to all the dads out there in blogland.

Quick card share using a new company to me, Newtons Nook. I seen this stamp set at Drive By Crafts and it was perfect  for my husband's Fathers Day card with him being a hunter. 

To get the ombré effect I sponged three different distress inks onto the stamp. The greeting is from Stampin Up.

Another card for Father's Day which is this coming Sunday. For this one I used a retired set from Stampin Up, The Sly is the Limit, thats perfect for the aviator that I am sending it to. I used a stencil for the sun and the Guy Greeting set for the sentiment.

Happy Monday!  Hope everyone had a great weekend, next Sunday is Father's Day so I am working on some cards to get them in the mail. The one uses a set from Stampin Up, Guy Greeting. I love this set and use it quite a bit for masculine cards. To make my card I started with a Lost Lagoon card base (retired). I cut a white panel a quarter of an inch smaller, using my Misti I stamped the image and the greeting and then masked off the car image. I used a stencil and a Lost Lagoon ink pad (retired) from Stampin Up and Clarity Brushes from So Suzy Stamps. These brushes make stenciling super easy. I added some wash take to finish it off. I am on the Sweet 'n Sassy blog today sharing this card.

You know Father's day is next month and the way the days are flying by it will be here before you know it. Sweet 'n Sassy has some great masculine sets for you to make your father's Day card including this one Hole in One.

To make my card I started with a white base cut to 4.25 X 5.5, next I cut a green panel just a quarter inch smaller all around and ran that through an embossing folder. I stamped my image on a 3x4 panel and colored it with Copic markers and used the pointillism technique for the grass. My father in Law is a golfer so this will be the perfect card for him

Tomorrow is Mother's day and I did got all my cards made and mailed on time, so now it's time to start on Father's day cards. 

Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps had some great masculine sets for making masculine cards including Father's Day.

For my card the image I used is from the Mr. Fix It set and the greeting is from the For My Father set.

I stamped the image on some watercolor paper and used Zig clean color markers to color it in then fussy cut it out and added it to the woodgrain panel.

I hope y'all had a great weekend, it was beautiful here in Colorado and we went up to the Mountains and Rocky Mountain National Park and had so much fun. It is such a beautiful place to be.

My Daddy is no longer with us but I would like to wish him a  Happy Father's Day in heaven and to all the Dad's out there in blogland, as well as the single moms. 

For my card I used some old scrap papers that I had and a couple dies. The Dad is from Lil Inker and the Star is from Sweet 'n Sassy star dies. The #1 is also from a SNSS set You're A Star.

Time to make Father's Day cards with it being right around the corner. My Dad has left this world and is with Jesus in his heavenly home and I miss him terribly but I love to send cards out to others. So you may just see a few more posted on my blog.

To make this clean and simple card, I used a QKR Stampede image and watercolored it using my inktesse watercolor pencils.
