Sending Some Holiday Sunshine

Todays card is for the Sending Sunshine Instagram hop. This is a hop that some of us crafters participate in as a spinoff from the Suicide Awareness hop. We send some sunshine aka handmade cards monthly instead of just once a year. 

This month I am sending a little holiday sunshine. There are many of us, myself included that the holidays isn't necessarily a happy time for whatever reason. We lost my father in law back at the end of September and this was the last parent and its hard. The holidays always bring back memories of those we lost. If you need to talk to someone I hope you will reach out. 

To make this card, I started with a white top folding A2 card base and a midnight panel. I ran the panel through the die cutting machine using a 3D embossing folder from Simon Says stamp. The ribbon die is by Kristina Werner for C9 and the sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp. 

This is also Day 1 of my Christmas Series and this year it is only 5 days because grief is hard, hopefully I can make 5.

Butterflies For Vanessa

Today's card is going to my friend who is having brain surgery as I type out this post.  I started with a white top folding card base and I came across this butterfly panel in my basket of card front panels. I have no idea why I didn't use this when I stamped it but now I am glad because I am sending it to Vanessa, who like me loves butterflies. The die cut sentiment was in my basket of die cuts that I haven't used so it took no time to make this card and get in the mail to her.

It's A Wrap

Welcome to day 25 of my holiday series 25 Days of Christmas Inspiration. This doesn't mean you wont continue to see Christmas cards, tage and other holiday projects it is just wrapping up my posting for 25 days. 

With today being the 25th day and Christmas being the 25th, I thought it would be appropriate to share a present form under the tree. 

I don't really have a supply list other than my paper and the tag because I used product that I received when I took the Holly Jolly workshop and it is exclusive.

Hugs

I am up on the Concord & 9th blog with my second post as an April guest designer. I am loving these products especially the Triangle Turnabout stamp (that is now back in stock!) that I used as a background on the card below. I started with a side folding white card base. On this card I rotated the stamp 3 times instead of 4. The first one I used versa mark ink and embossed it with Brutus Monroe Gilded embossing powder, the second turn I stamped it in Altenew Frosty Pink and the third was stamped with Altenew Grapevine. I used the Hugs from the Cuddles & Hugs Dies and cut it out of gold glimmer paper and Blushing Bride card stock. I used a stitched die by Mama Elephant to cut down the background panel.

Because I had leftovers from the hugs die, I was able to create the card below in like record time. I used a white top folding card base and the other pieces of the "hugs" from the card above. I added some embossed hearts in gold and a greeting form the Cuddles & Hugs stamp set.

Guest Designing for Concord & 9th

Happy Tuesday!!

 I have some super happy news to share with you. I was asked by Angie of Concord & 9th to be a guest designer for April. I am a huge fan of Concord & 9th and it is such an honor to be asked to guest design for them, I really screamed out loud when I read the message. 

The April Release is amazing, matter of fact it is so amazing they sold out of  one of the stamps (Triangle Turnabout) in less than 24 hours! Click HERE to see why.
I will be sharing projects all month long using these products so make sure you keep checking back.

Two of the stamps in this release were designed for use with the MISTI. Triangle Turnabout (which has sold out) and Many Mandalas. 

On my first card I used a stencil to create my background, the Many Mandalas Stamp set along with the Many Mandala Dies, and the Select-A-Size Edge dies which are so versatile.

My second card uses the Hello Lovely set (one of my faves),the Stripe Builder set and the new Select -A-Size Edge dies, these are amazing so many different ways to use them.

Happy Tuesday

It's day 14 of the 30 days of coloring challenge at The Daily Maker. Todays card uses this gorgeous set from Concord & 9th Hello Lovely. 

To make this card I started with a top folding white card base and some hot press watercolor paper. To color the image I used Tombow markers and colored directly on the stamp, misted it with water and then stamped on the watercolor paper. Next I used a brush to spread a little color on the leaves and petals. 

To finish the card I stamped the tiny butterfly from the Butterfly Beauty set also by Concord & 9th in a space at the top of the floral image.

Holiday

It's Time for another challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More our theme for this week is Holiday, it can be any holiday not just Christmas.

This is my first Christmas card of 2017, I got this set last year, but to late to make cards with it so I had to use it for this challenge. To make my card I started with a side folding white card base and a pane cut down with a stitched die. I stamped the Barnwood Background in Crumb Cake and die cut the "Joy" in Real Red. to finish the card I added some pine cones and pine boughs from the Joy set, both by Concord & 9th.
