Joy Clair New Release Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Joy Clair ew release bloghop.

 You should have arrived here from Jenny's blog but if not I have a complete list below you can follow because you do not want to miss any of the inspiration on these new sets and there are prizes involved, details below.

To create my card I started with a white card base and a panel of patterned paper cut down a quarter of an inch smaller. I stamped the turkey from the Turkey Talk set on a white piece of cardstock and then colored the turkey using Copic markers. I used a mask to cover up the turkey and then used a stencil to and red ink to depict a table cloth around him. Next I cut out the image using an oval die cut and a black piece of cardstock to make a mat underneath. To finish the card I added the greeting and a strip of patterned paper on the inside. This set is super cute with all the fun saying you can stamp on his apron or on the sign!

Happy Thanksgiving to all my U.S. friends.  Today is one of my favorite days of the year. A day to gather with family and friends and ponder the things we are thankful for.  I am thankful for my family, friends and the crafting community.  This card uses one of my favorite sets from Concord & 9th. To make my card I used the Lace Leaf set by Concord & 9th and inks by Catherine Pooler.

Thankful Mice

Quick card while I have a little Mojo. I have had this cute little Lawn Fawn set since last year and never inked it up, so I made a card for a couple challenge sites and then after I made it realized that the challenges had ended, oh well.  I did get some coloring done for the 30 day coloring challenge at The Daily Marker.
My mind really hasn't been on card making lately as we have fires raging all around us, we need some rain here in the mountains of western North Carolina and eastern Tennessee, if you have watched the news today, you know Gatlinburg TN was in the path of a fire, this same fire is only 20 miles from me as the crow fly. I have a lot to be thankful for but so many are without a home right here at Christmas and that makes me sad.

If you are like me you are not watching the news at the present moment, the Hallmark channel is so much happier. I did my civic duty and voted and as I was voting I prayed for direction. The one thing we have to remember regardless of how this turns out is that God is in control, the outcome will not be a surprise to Him at all. So I am resting in that and making cards and watching the Hallmark channel. 

So let's get on to a happier note on how I made this card, it was pretty simple as the majority of my cards are. I started with a top folding white card base and a white panel cut down with a stitched die. The image is two separate stamps so I used the MISTI to line them up. The stamp set is from My Favorite Things and I used Copic markers to color them and added the greeting underneath by also using the MISTI. To finish the card I added some designer paper from Reverse Confetti as the mat for my focal panel and also a strip for the inside.

It's time for a new game at AAA Cards. You will have no excuse not to play because it's anything goes, well anything CAS that is. 

I am slowly making my way through the sea of boxes I have to unpack. I should be done with the kitchen and living area by tonight. My Studio will be later as I am getting an Original Scrapbox 2 for my housewarming present from the hubs. I am also going to have a huge purge when I make it to my studio boxes, so be on the lookout for that

It's time for a new challenge at AAA Cards and with Thanksgiving just around the corner, our next challenge is just that or thanks if you do not celebrate Thanksgiving. This year I will get to celebrate Thanksgiving with my family and it is the first time in many years, so I am excited about thanksgiving this year.

Hope you will join us and play along, it's always good to have a little extra thank you card on hand. 

For my card I combined a Stampin Up greeting with some leaves from the Leaf Silhouette set from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. I added some stickles to give it a little sparkle.

Grateful For You

I am also sharing this one on A Scrap N Place's blog today.  With Thanksgiving being this week most of us reflect on what we are Thankful for. Of course I am grateful to have my family and friends but I am also grateful for all of you, my friends in blogland.  To make my card I started with an A2 sized Whisper White card base and spritzed it with some Heidi Swap gold color shine. I cut my leaves out using water color paper and painted them indian summer colors with my paints, next I embossed them with some vintage embossing powder to give them the shimmer.

My first project the treat bag as a simple one to make, I took some of our Chevron bags and cut out a banner from the Color Me Autumn designer series paper pack and stamped the tag from the Merry Everything set and punched it out with the matching punch. I added some sequin trim and a tiny clothespin to hold it together. 
My next project was made using the Curvy Keepsake Box Thinlit, There are so many things you can do with this die, check the Pintrest boards. I used the Four Feathers stamp set and matching framelits to make his feathers
