Watercolor Poppies

Boy do I have a bunch of birthdays right here at the end of the month so I am busy making Birthday cards. This one I wanted to share because I had lots of fun making it. I started with a piece of Tim Holtz watercolor paper and some versa mark ink. I stamped my image and then embossed it with some vintage embossing powder, next I masked off the image with some rubber cement allowed it to dry and then wet the entire paper and used Melon Mambo re inker to make my background.  I also used my go to set from Stampin Up Gorgeous Grunge and then spritzed some gold color shine on it as well.

The "happy" die I used some gold foil from Stampin Up to cut it out and then stamped my greeting underneath.

I am entering this one in the Fusion challenge for Shiny Pink and I sorta followed the sketch.

You've Got Style

Playing with some Sweet Shop Stamps today to make this masculine birthday card for this weeks Mod Squad Challenge. I started out with a So Saffron card base, added some of the Lawn Fawn Polka papers.  I colored the hippo with my colic markers and added some crystal accents to his glasses to make them fun.

A Mixture of Craftiness

The card I am sharing today is a mixture of craftiness from several different suppliers. The embossing folder is new from Stampin Up NEW in the Mini Occasions (contact me to order), the wooden arrow is also SU. The stitched mat is from Lil Inkers, The falling hearts is from The sweet Stamp Shop and lastly the sentiment is Impression Obsession. I just love how it turned out.
