Stay Crafty With Hero Arts July Edition

Today starts the July #staycrafty  challenge over on the Hero Arts blog. Our theme for the month of July is “you’re My Beat Friend” 

To play along with us, create your project using the current theme and link it over on A Blog Named Hero.

 

To make this card, I started with white top folding A2 card base and a panel of Artic cardstock. I stamped the floral image on a separate piece of paper, colored it with OLO markers and cut it out with the coordinating die.  I cut the friend out of white cardstock and stacked it for dimension. To finish the card I added the flower and friend to the card and stamped the “hello” directly over the friend. 

Stay Crafty June Challenge

Today starts our June Stay Crafty challenge at A Blog Named Hero.

Our theme for the month of June is "Saturday in the Park" create a picnic or July 4th themed card. By picnic it could mean anything you see while on a picnic also.

We are Family

Today starts a new Stay Crafty Challenge with Hero Arts

This challenge is going to be easy – we want to see any card you would make for a family member! It could be a birthday card, a thank you card, a sympathy card, a hello card – anything you like, as long as you would give it to someone in your family! 

We will be giving a $50 gift card randomly to one person who plays along, and another $50 gift card to one of our favorites  All products are welcome, but if you want to be in with a chance to win, please use at least one Hero Arts designed product (stamp – physical or digital, stencil, die, rub-on or hot foil plate).

To make my card, I started with a white top folding card base and a white panel. I stamped the floral image and colored it using the coordinating stencils. I used a scalloped rectangle die to cut it out. The greeting is from another set. All products are linked below.

It's Magic!

Today starts a new Stay Crafty challenge over at A Blog Named Hero.

the challenge is to use embossing powder. I remember the first time I used embossing powder I was mesmerized. It was definitely my gateway drug into the crafting world. 

To make my card, I started with a white top folding card base and a panel of white heavystock for the embossing.

For the embossing part I used a technique that I learned from my friend and teammate BreAnn.  To do this technique, I used some white Hero paste with a stencil. While the paste was still wet I sprinkled four different  embossing powders over it mushed them into the paste and then heated it. I cut the panel at an angle so I could use it on two cards.  

I cut out the "happy" three times to layer them for dimension and then added it to the panel along with a stip of purple. To finish the card, I stamped  the word birthday underneath the happy.

To make my card, I started with a white top folding A2 card base and a piece of watercolor paper. 

I created a background using the smooshing technique with reactive ink then stamped some texture and used some hero wax and embossing powder to create more texture.

To finish the card, I added the love die cut and the sentiment.

Staying Crafty in 2024

Merry Christmas Eve

Merry Christmas Eve to all those who celebrate.Today I have another card for the Say Crafty challenge of Shiny.

To make this card, I started with a top folding white A2 card base and a white panel. 

I created a background using a stencil from the November My Monthly Hero Kit but it is sold out. I have linked another favorite snowflake stencil below.

I used the Ornaments fancy die with  some silver foil and an alcohol ink panel that I created from my stash.

Shine

Hello and welcome to day 8 of my Christmas series and it's time to Stay Crafty with A Blog Named Hero. 

I had so much fun making this card for our new challenge of Shiny. To make this card, I started with a white top folding A2 card base and a panel of distress heavystock. 

I sprayed the blue and purple spray from Hero Arts on my glass mat and smooshed the heavystock panel into it. After I achieved the look I wanted I used the Hot Foil Snowflakes and foiled them on the panel. 

To finish the card I added a Run-on sentiment

I Appreciate You

I am back with another card for our current Stay Crafty challenge of "Thanks For Being A Friend".

To make this card, I started with a white top folding A2 card base and a white panel cut down a quarter of an inch smaller. Next I used the Golden Poppies stamp set along with the coordinating stencils. 

 This card is a teacher who has allowed our bible club to use her classroom and will also contain a gift card to show our appreciation so I wanted it to have a christmas feel, thus red poppies.

Stay Crafty Challenge

Today I am sharing another "love" card for the January stay crafty challenge on A Blog Named Hero of A Crazy Little Thing Called Love.

To make my card I started with a top folding white card base and a white panel for the image. I stamped the floral image, colored it using OLO markers and then cut it out with the coordinating die.  

For the background I used the Tile pattern stencil and pool party ink. For the greeting I used the word sending from the Message Strips set and the die cut word love from the Peace Words fancy dies.
