I'm Addicted to CAS

Happy Independence Day! 

This is my first post as a Design Team Member for Addicted to CAS. I have always loved this challenge blog, mainly because CAS is my style of stamping. Our challenge this week is Patriotic

Freedom

Happy Memorial Day 

Today we remember all those service men and women, who lost their lives fighting for our freedom. Because of them and our current military,our flag still stands for freedom.

 I would like to say thank you to each and every one of them, and to the families who lost loved ones, thank you for supporting them in their fight. May God bless America and those who serve to protect our freedom.

The weather was great this weekend in Colorado for the 4th festivities,  grilling and fireworks. I love Independence day. I decided to make one more patriotic card using the sketch from Poppy Sketches

What a gorgeous day it is today I hope you are enjoying family, friends and picnics. The thing I love about the 4th of July is Fireworks. Here in Colorado there has been times where because of it being so dry we could not have fireworks but not this year, I am ready!

Stenciled Stars

This is a card I made for Memorial Day and totally forgot to post it. I used a technique that Korin has a video tutorial on Splitcoast Stampers today. It is called Die Cut Stencils and it is a fun technique when you do not have any stencils or you do not have a particular stencil you can make your own. It's really a simple technique you just use your die cuts, I used our Star Dies on my card. You lay them out like you want and then simply run them through your machine. Next you take your ink and sponge over the cut out area and that's it. Easy peasy huh? I added a little sequin shaker at the top and some other clear sequins to finish it off.

Happy Independence Day to all my American blogger friends.

 It's time for another Meljen's Designs challenge. This week we are all about Patriotism. It may not be Independence day in everyone's country so for our challenge we just want you to use the colors of your country's flag in your creation.

With Independence day right around the corner our challenge this week is RED, WHITE and BLUE .

It's tuesday and time for another throwdown! 

With the forth of July approaching our challenge this week is Summertime, With Independence day coming up that ways screams summer to me.

I made my card for my daughter who serves in our nations military. Notice her sparkly red shoes? My daughter loved her ruby slippers when she was a little girl so I wanted to see if she would notice.
