Support for Ukraine

Welcome to our "Support Ukraine Blog Hop". I am hopping along with all some amazing companies that are part of The Stamping Village and additional contributing companies and artists that are sharing encouragement for Ukraine. A portion of all proceeds from their sales from now through Sunday April 3rd, 2022 will benefit the Ukraine relief efforts. We are also sending lots sending hugs and prayers to all the families that have been touched by this war.

To create my card I started with a top folding white card base, a black panel and a white panel for the focal image. I used the Sunflower from the Find Your Purpose set and colored it using alcohol markers. The sunflower is the flower of Ukraine and is the symbol of hope.

Next I used the Swirl Stencil and some Prize Ribbon ink to create the background. To finish the card I embossed the sentiment on a strip of black in white powder.

I used blue and yellow; the colors of the Ukraine flag. My heart still goes out to all those who have been touched by this war, Ukrainians and Russians. I continue to pray for peace.

Ukraine Love

I am up on the Sweet 'n Sassy company blog today with this card.

Yes I am still making blue and yellow combo cards, it may last a while.

My card today uses the new release set Forever Loved and the coordinating dies.

To create this card I started with a top folding white card base and a white panel.

I used the new Mosaic stencil and ink blended blue and yellow inks over it.

Next I stamped the flowers, colored them using Copic markers and cut them out with the coordinating dies.

To finish the card I added a sentiment from the same set Forever Loved

Beyond The Blue #57

It's time for a new BTB challenge. Our challenges will now be running for a two weeks so that gives you more time to play along.

For the challenge of texture I created it by the use of a stencil.

To create this card I started with a top folding white card base and a white panel cut to the same size of the base.

I stamped the sunflower from the Like a Sunflower set by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps and colored it using alcohol markers. I used the mosaic stencil to add texture. To finish the card I added the hope die cut.

I used blue and yellow the colors of the Ukrainian flag and for the people of Ukraine as I continue to pray for peace not only for them but for all.

Cards for Ukraine

My heart has been so heavy for the people of Ukraine, I can't imagine not wanting to sleep because of the bombing.  I  also have a heavy heart for the people of Russia as I am sure that they do not want war.

Our card making  friend Yana Smakula lives in the Ukraine and we as fellow card makers are showing support by making cards and having an auction on Instagram. You can find that HERE.

Not every carmaker could get in the auction but many are still making cards you can find those by using the hashtag #cardsforUkraine

To make my card which was inspired by my friend Annette's card, I started with a white top folding card base and a panel of white heavystock. I stamped the Sprinkled Heart Background using Versafine Clair Nocturne ink and then I did a little ink smooshing with Bee Sting Yellow and Peacock Blue Atelier inks.

To finish the card I added the greeting from the Simple Sayings set embossed in white on a strip of black cardstock.
