I am on the Picket Fence Studios blog today with a couple Christmas cards.
I titled my post the way I did because where I used to live is getting tons of snow today. Yep in September and just the other day it was one 90 degrees. I now you are thinking well it's 2020, actually the weather in Colorado is always 2020.
Now for the deets on my cards.
The first one is a Slimline card using one of the cutest snowmen around from the set On A Christmas Walk .
To create it I started with a white slimline base of 4 x 8 1/2 and a panel cut 1/8th of an inch smaller. To create the snowy background, I first masked off a strip of groud at the bottom of the panel and then stamped the trees from the Watercolor Trees and Bushes set. I embossed them in white embossing powder and then created sky background by using the Life Changing Blender Brushes and some ink by Concord & 9th in Midnight and Oceanside. I spritzed it with water to form the larger snowflakes and created the smaller ones with a white gel pen.
I left the trees set up in the Misti and when I finished the background I embossed them again, this time with a white embossing glitter to give them sparkle.
I stamped the snowman and deer on a seperate piece of paper, colored them with Copic markers and then cut them out with the Coordinating dies placed them in the scene and added some snow falling on them. To finish the card I added a greeting from one of the newer sets Most Wonderful Time of the Year.
For he second card I used the same set just in a different setting. To create this scene I used the tree from the set Most Wonderful Time of the year. I added some clouds with the Layers of Clouds stencil and the greeting is from the Believe in the Magic set.
