Watercolor For Cardmakers ~ Day 1

I am taking the Watercolor for cardmakers - exploring mediums over at Online Card Classes and today's class was all about markers. For my card I used a Sweet n' Sassy image and greeting from the set Lovely Lotus and watercolored it using Tim Holtz distress markers. I stamped it with versamark ink and then embossed it with white embossing powder, this allowed me to stay inside the lines a little better. I die cut my panel and the frame from the Sunshine Layers die from Wplus9.

I am entering this one in a  few challenges

Simon Says Stamp Monday challenge
of Use a Stamp
also Simon Says Wednesday challenge

The Challenge inspiration challenge

  2. I've been on the fence about this class. I suppose I should just jump in - your card is that gorgeous! Pushed me off the fence!

  3. So pretty. I tried water colouring yesterday and it looked terrible. This Is beautiful.

  4. hello Ceal! stunning card, I luv your watercoloring...FAB girl! so glad you played along with us at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge!

    sparkle & shine *~*

  5. Very pretty card! Great to see what you have created for OCC :o)

  6. This card is breathtaking! It reminded me of being at a museum and looking at one of those dreamy watercolors paintings by a great artist of long ago! I thought you did an amazing job of blending those colors and the palette is so soft and refreshing. I also like how you framed it in with the scalloped border. The bits of bling reminded me of water drops or bubbles and the whole thing makes me feel calm and serene and happy just looking at it! Thanks for sharing your skills with us for this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge!

Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment, they always bring a smile
