Welcome to Day 7 of The 7 Days of Valentine Projects Blog Event. It's hard to believe our second Holiday Projects event is already over! We had so much fun and I hope you have enjoyed checking out all the fun Valentine Projects. If you missed any along the way, you check most of the out in one place on our new Pinterest board. You can find our board here.
There is a new challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers called Mix-Ability. The first challenge was to use two different mediums with a different finish on your card - one medium needs to be shiny, and one needs to be matte.
To make my card I painted my piece of design paper with acrylic paint to give me the matte finish. Next I stamped the background with Versamark ink and embossed it with pink embossing powder, this gave me my shiny finish. To give it some more depth I sponged around the edges with Gathered twigs distress ink. It was a fun challenge and I love the way it turned out.
Be sure to stop by and check out everyone's projects, lots of inspiration out there.
