Celebrating Spellbinders September Edition

Today's card is for a hop over on Instagram celebrating Spellbinders. it's where a group of us get together and feature projects using Spellbinder products. No theme just as long as we use their products.
My card uses the Dumpster Fire stamp and die set. I have had this for a while, but haven't had a chance to use it.
To make this card, I started with a white top folding A2 card base and some colored cardstock. I cut strips of the cardstock for the background and cut out the dumpster out of colored cardstock. I took some distress ink and added to the dumpster to give it a authentic look because I have never seen a clean dumpster. To finish the card, I added the sentiment.

Christmas In July - Day 29

Today's theme for the Christmas in July hop over on Instagram is Embossing dry or heat. I used both.
I started with a white top folding A2 card base and a white panel cutting 1/4 off the sides. I created a blended background and then ran the panel through the die cutting machine with a 3D embossing folder. I used some metallic pens and the debossed side of the panel to highlight the ornaments. I added a heat embossed sentiment to the front to finish the card.

25 Days of Christmas Inspiration - Day 4

Welcome to Day 4 of my holiday series.
Today's card uses a die by Stampendous. When I saw this die I fell in love and just had to get it. I am a sucker for a Nativity anything. I also collect them and have a tree that is all nativity themed.

To make this card,  I started with a white top folding A2 card base, a white panel and a black panel.
The die set is three pieces, the arch, the silhouette and the star. I cut the arch panel out of white and ink blended blue around the outer edge and then the color in the center to give it a stained glass look. Icut the silhouette piece out of black and the star out of metallic gold and placed it bak in the negative space.

Extraordinary Embossing Folders Day 1

I am up on the CutCardStock blog today sharing this card. I am also taking the Extraordinary Embossing Folders class at  Online Card Classes and this card is from Day 1 of the class.

To create this card, I started with a precut and scored A2 card base and a precut panel. I stamped the sentiment first so I could use it to help line up the folders. I used two different 3D embossing folders one from Simon Says Stamp and one from Spellbinders. I spritzed the card front panel with water which makes it have a better impression and not crack the paper. To finish the card, I ink blended some ink over the embossed areas.

There is also a sale on Stardream Metallic cardstock and let me tell ya, it's gorgeous papers.
