Team Tuesday with Hero Arts

I am up on the My Sweet Petunia blog today sharing this card using the July My Monthly Hero Kit.

To make this card, I started with a white top-folding A2 card base and a white panel. I used the panel to cut out the Citrus Frame Die. While this set includes dies to cut everything out, I love to color, so I placed the die-cut frame on a mini sticky mat to hold it in place. I then placed the sticky mat on the Petunia Platform and added a Power Mag so I could easily rotate the platform as I colored.

After I got it all colored I added it to the card base and stamped my greeting in the center using the Mini Misti. To finish the card I added die cut flowers over the flowers on the frame and I added some texture to the lemons with a gold metallic marker.

A Grad Card for Team Tuesday

I am up on the My Sweet Petunia blog today sharing this card.

To make this card I started with a white card panel placed inside the Original MISTI and stamped the peony background using VersaMark ink and embossed it in gold powder.

Next, I placed the embossed panel on a Mini Sticky Mat and then placed it on the Petunia Platform and held it down with to Power Mags.  Let me tell ya, it didn’t move at all. (Tip: if you do not have the Petunia Platform just flip your MISTI over. The magnets will stick to the metal plate).  I used the layering stencils to color the flowers.

To finish the card, I cut the panel in a diagonal and then out the “2 & 6” using number dies by Hero Arts and adhered the to the panel.

Humming A Prayer

Sharing this card using another one of our new release sets, Nectar Kissed. This is one of the new release sets and it's beautiful. I love the sentiment that I used from the set.

To make this card, I started with a white top folding A2 card base and a panel of watercolor paper. I stamped the hummingbird and the floral image on the watercolor paper and watercolored it using distress re-inkers.
I stamped the greeting on a black strip and embossed it with white powder.

Focus Firday

I am up on the My Sweet Petunia blog today sharing this card.

I started out by using the Mini Misti to stamp the image because when you stamp on textured watercolor paper it is hard to get a clean image unless you use the Misti of course.  After I stamped my image, I placed it down on the Petunia Platform and held it with the Power Mag so I could paint it without it moving around.

The set I used is a new release from Dare 2B Artzy “Let Hope Bloom” I water colored the image using Distress Reinkers and then cut it out with the coordinating die. I created a subtle background for the image using the Lacy Leaves stencil, also by Dare 2B Artzy.

Addicted to Stamps & More 509- Any Occasion

Happy Tuesday!
Today's card is also for my Team Tuesday post over on the My Sweet Petunia blog. Valentines is just around the corner and these Lawn Fawn stamps make such a cute card.
To make this card, I started with a white top folding A2 card base, a white panel for the background and another white piece of cardstock for the images. I used the Mini MISTI so I could stamp all the images at once even though I may not use them all.

I used the coordinating coloring stencils to color them, to do that I placed the panel with the stamped images on a Sticky Mat and then placed that on our Petunia Platform, then the Power Mag to hold it down as I add color. I cut them out with the coordinating dies.

After I got them all cut out, I used the Master Layouts 15 by Gina K Designs to cut postage stamps to place them on.
The heart background is from Concord & 9th and the sentiment is by Taylored Expressions. A bunch of different companies that came together nicely.
