Addicted to CAS - 232 Sympathy

It's time for a new challenge at Addicted to CAS, Vicki is our hostess and she chose the code word.. Sympathy.

To create my card I started with a top folding white card base and a white panel. I used the Rosy Life hot foil plate along with some opal foil. The greeting is a word die by The Makers Movement.

Sympathy

Hello and thanks for stopping by.
Todays cad is for a friend that lost her mom. It's also for the CAS challenge over at Splitcoaststampers.
Sympathy cards are never easy to make and you often wonder if they are too bright or too elegant or whatever other thing you can dream up while making them. We seem to think that a sympathy card should be muted or gray, black or a neutral color, when in reality I would like for a sympathy sent to me to be cheerful. I don't think I achieved that look with this card but I do hope it cheers my friend up a little.

To make this card I used some new products by Makers Movement
I started with a white top folding card base and a gray panel. I used the Floral Arrangement stencil and some white ink and blended it through the stencil. The leaves are from the Stacking Flowers die set and finished the card with the "With Sympathy" die makes it a lot easier to make a quick card if you don't have one in your stash.

Grid

It's time for a new challenge at Addicted to CAS, Raga is our hostess and she chose the code word.. Grid.

This card was super easy to create, I started with a top folding card base and a waffle die by the Makers Movement. I cut multiple pieces and adhered them together to make it 3D. For the bottom one I just used the circle and then ink blended over the kraft to make it a little darker.  To finish it off I added a heart on top.
The greeting is from the Food Puns stamp set by Hero Arts.

Crafty News

I have some exciting news to share. I am joining the Makers Movement design team along with a lot of talented artists.

To create my card I started with a white top folding card base and the On Point Stamp & Die set. I stamped the image on a piece of white cardstock, colored it with alcohol markers and cut it out the the accompanying die with the Mini Maker die cut machine.
I used the Rainbow Sprinkles patterned paper as a background and used the Scallop Frame to frame it.
