Copic Ombre'

I am up on the My Sweet Petunia blog today with this card for Team Tuesday.

To create this card I used a technique that I learned from taking a class with Kathy Racoosin a few years ago at Junkiefest.

It's pretty simple to do and gives you a striking card in the end.
I started with a white top folding card base and a panel for the coloring. I placed the Wls Peonies stamp set in the Original misti and stamped the image in Prickly Pear ink. I left the stamp in the MISTI because I will need to stamp it again at the end.
Using Copic markers in RV14, RV17 and RV19 colored the entire panel  except for the image itself in an ombre'.
I used a piece of a terry washcloth and some Copic colorless blender to add texture to the colored areas simply by blotting it all over the panel.
I placed the panel back in the MISTI (remember I left my stamp in there) and over stamped it using embossing ink and then embossed it in gold.
To finish the card I added the Hello die cut out with Gold foil and backed with vellum.
