Spring Card Camp - Day 5

Even though it's day 17 in the spring card camp, it's day 5 for me. Honestly I am not going to be nowhere near finished when they do but I will continue to go at my own pace.
Todays session was on creating watercolor backgrounds and using a diet for a stencil.

To create my cards I started with a white top folding card bases, black panels and watercolor paper. I used the Stacked Hearts die by Simon Says Stamp. I cut it out of watercolor paper and then lightly adhered it to the panel and then made a watercolor wash over it. After it dried I removed it and then placed some of the hearts randomly on the background. I used the die on the second card as the main focal point.
The sentiments on both cards are from the Mini Strips Lifesaver by Tailored Expressions.

Supplies are pictured below along with affiliate links with no additional cost to you but a small commission for me. thank you for your support!

  1. Beautiful use of a die to give a stenciled look. I love your choice of dies too.
