Grateful

Warning long post

Happy Monday!

I hope every one had a great weekend. I have had very little time this weekend for stamping.
The time has come for a very long post, as you know or you may not, we have been transferred to North Carolina. It is a bittersweet move for me. I am originally from South Carolina and have 2 sisters in NC with our kids and the rest of the family in SC. The hubs is from Virginia and his Dad and brother are there, so it's closer to family and lots of friends but I love Colorado, it's a beautiful state, the weather here is amazing, no humidity, lots of sunshine, even in the winter, and the snow, well it's not so bad here because it usually doesn't stick around for long. We are moving from one mountain range to another, leaving the rockies and going to the smokies.
I have made many sweet friends here and it's going to be hard leave, not to mention my Ah-Mazing studio that the hubs finished for me. I started my Stampin Up business here and it is doing well, I have great customers/friends who come to my classes that I hold each month. I am definitely going to miss it and everyone. I am not saying goodbye because I plan to visit and hope that some of them would even visit me.

Here's the dealio, I may be moving but that doesn't mean you have to stop taking my classes, it can be done online. The first of each month I will send out a coupon code and it you place a qualifying order using that code then I will send you a kit in the mail with all the supplies to make 3 cards. I will also offer technique classes and others online as well. If you are in the Cherokee NC area then guess what? You can attend my classes! If you live in that area and want to attend my classes or just want to meet up and stamp shoot me an email at ceal331@gmaildotcom. I would love to make new friend and gain some new customers.
I am truly grateful for each of you my friends

Now for the deets on my card. The stamp sets I used is Gorgeous Grunge and Vintage Leaves. I used an old technique that works beautifully with the leaves and stamped Gorgeous Grunge for the background. I added some gold thread and linen thread to finish it off.

I made this one with a couple challenges in mind, the sketch is this month's challenge from Stamplorations

I am also entering it over at The Mod Squad, for their challenge of Heat
Embossing.

  1. Oh my! This is distressing. I wish we could have spent a bit more time together! I was so overjoyed when you told me you were moving here and I am really glad that you have enjoyed your time in Colorado. It will be a bit less creative here with you gone. Good luck and please stay in touch! ~chris

  2. Gorgeous!!! The Rockies are amazing! We have been there just once. Since we live six hours away The Smokies are a favorite destination for us. Hope you get settled soon and love your new home. Hugs.....it would be a REALLY hard thing for us if we had to make a similar move. LOVE the no humidity of the West!!!

  4. Your card is just stunning. I love the simplicity of it, with just the color and leaves in the middle of the white background. Sorry you have to move from you home - it's never easy. Good thoughts going out your way!! Great take on the challenge, thanks so much for playing along this week at the Mod Squad Challenge

  5. This card is simply stunning! I love the artful grunge and the simple elegance of your design. Thank you for linking up at STAMPlorations! As for the other part, I know how hard moving can be and, while there will be good parts, it's still hard to leave what you know and love behind. Sending you lots of happy thoughts. I've become a new follower of your blog and would LOVE to have you come for a visit, too!

  7. Super card, love the feel of autumn you've created.
Sad to hear you have had to move away from crafty friends, I can totally relate to that, but blogland is a partial remedy!
Hope you make plenty more and thanks for linking up at STAMPlorations. :)
