A Clean Heart

Supplies: Stamps: Unity Stamp Co, Kraft Cardstock, Jillibean Soup,Caraway Seeds, Nestibilities, buttons

Happy Sunday!
It's time for another Stampin Sister In Christ challenge and this week I am the hostess. God lead me to this verse and it is one I pray daily.

"Cleanse me with hyssop, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow. Let me hear joy and gladness, let the bones you have crushed rejoice. Hide your face from my sins and blot out all my iniquity. Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me."
Psalm 51:7-10
My challenge to you is to make a CAS (Clean & Simple) card. If you are saying what is that? Its just a card without all the fru-fru or embellishments. You can find plenty of samples here on SplitCoast Stampers. and here on clean&simple stamping.

I love the message paraphrase of that verse and want to share it also.

7-15 Soak me in your laundry and I'll come out clean,
scrub me and I'll have a snow-white life.
Tune me in to foot-tapping songs,
set these once-broken bones to dancing.
Don't look too close for blemishes,
give me a clean bill of health.
God, make a fresh start in me,
shape a Genesis week from the chaos of my life.
Don't throw me out with the trash,
or fail to breathe holiness in me.
Bring me back from gray exile,
put a fresh wind in my sails!
Give me a job teaching rebels your ways
so the lost can find their way home.
Commute my death sentence, God, my salvation God,
and I'll sing anthems to your life-giving ways.
Unbutton my lips, dear God;
I'll let loose with your praise.

This is the prayer of David one of my favorites in the Bible. He had made many mistakes in his life even murder, yet he was still called faithful in Hebrews 11; A man after God's own heart. You see God doesn't care how many mistakes you made, he just wants you to come to him just as you are to have a love relationship with him.
I just love the message paraphrase, especially "Shape a Genesis week from the chaos of my life." Is your life chaotic like mine? Well we have a God who can make it beautiful who loves us and soaks us in His laundry, the blood of Christ so that we are made clean in His sight. No one is righteous but by the blood of Jesus we are called the children of God.
